structured, in provinces and cities implementing the merger, for provincial-level medical facilities, the Ministry of Health recommends that localities review and make a list of all existing headquarters, facilities and assets, and assess the suitability of the current infrastructure with the operational requirements and population size of the new administrative unit after the arrangement.

For the former district-level medical facilities, maintain the headquarters and land, continue to maintain operations and perform functions and tasks according to regulations of competent authorities to ensure continuity in providing medical services to take care of people's health.

For commune and ward health stations, focus on consolidating and improving the capacity of existing health stations in the new administrative unit after the merger, prioritizing the use of suitable stations to maintain health activities, ensuring people can easily access initial services.
In case there are many health stations in the same new commune-level administrative unit, priority should be given to choosing the place with the most convenient location and best facilities as the main facility.

For the remaining facilities, the locality will review and arrange for continued operation, meet the requirements with functions and tasks according to the instructions of competent authorities to best serve the people.

If necessary, it is necessary to consider adjusting and adding more area to the main facility from the surplus facilities after the arrangement to ensure compliance with new requirements, functions and tasks.

After the merger and administrative arrangement, Dong Nai province has only 17 provincial-level hospitals and medical facilities; 22 regional medical centers. With 95 communes and wards after the merger, the province plans to arrange 95 main stations and arrange medical stations of communes, wards and towns before the merger to ensure the best service for primary health care for local people.
