On the evening of October 21, an officer from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Hai Duong Provincial Police confirmed that the authorities had urgently extinguished the fire that occurred in Kim Thanh District, Hai Duong.
The leader of the Kim Thanh District People's Committee also informed that the fire broke out at around 8:00 p.m. the same day at Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited (Thanh Phat T&T Company) in Ngu Phuc Commune. The fire broke out from a scrap warehouse, then spread to the factory building of the company next door.

As soon as the fire alarm was received, the fire department mobilized 8 fire trucks to the scene, along with officers, soldiers, and vehicles to put out the fire.
At around 10:45 p.m., authorities were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. There have been no reports of casualties caused by the fire.
The cause of the incident and damage are being investigated by authorities.
Previously, Thanh Phat T&T Company rented factories and warehouses to collect scrap, then recycle and produce plastic sheets. Thanh Phat T&T Company was fined by Kim Thanh District authorities for failing to ensure fire prevention and fighting. At the end of June, the company moved its machinery away.
