Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament is ready to start

The pickleball tournament "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new day" co-organized by Dan Tri newspaper and Vietnam Pickleball Sports Forum Joint Stock Company (PICKFAIR) will take place at Dai Kim Pickleball Complex (Hoang Mai, Hanoi).

On July 5 (starting at 7:30, after the opening ceremony at 7:00), the competitions will be Dan Tri Lead, women's doubles level 4.5, women's doubles Open, men's doubles Open. On July 6 (starting at 7:00), the competitions will be Dan Tri & Friends, men's doubles level 5.5, women's doubles level 5.0 and men's doubles level 6.5. The Organizing Committee (OC) has also announced the RESULTS OF THE DRAWING OF THE MATCHES.

Within the framework of the upcoming "Dan Tri 20 Years - Bright New Day" pickleball tournament, gathering more than 550 athletes, the Organizing Committee said that all fees collected from athletes (at 500,000 VND/person) will not be used to cover organization costs but will be used to support the construction of 5 Charity houses, helping 5 households with especially difficult circumstances in Cao Bang .

Due to the large number of athletes participating in the tournament, the Organizing Committee recommends that athletes ensure the correct time to participate. Athletes who are not in good health will not be allowed to compete and the Organizing Committee will refund the athletes to avoid unfortunate incidents.

Athletes will also be disqualified if they are not present when the referee calls their name in the competition registration event after 10 minutes. Athletes must take care of and arrange their own belongings and the Organizing Committee will not be responsible for any lost or misplaced belongings during the competition.

Sharing before the tournament's opening, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri newspaper, also expressed his joy when the pickleball tournament "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new day" received the attention of many athletes and Dan Tri readers.

"The level of interest from readers and athletes in the tournament has exceeded our expectations. That is why we are committed to organizing the most transparent and professional tournament possible," Mr. Nguyen Xuan Toan affirmed.

In particular, according to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Toan, although the tournament has not yet taken place, Dan Tri newspaper has started construction of 5 charity houses in Cao Bang province last week to meet the urgent needs of households in difficult circumstances.

"This is not only a sports activity for exchange and entertainment, but also an opportunity for journalists, artists, athletes, readers and partners to meet, share and spread the spirit of positive living and love. I believe and hope that the tournament will be successful and leave many good memories for everyone," Mr. Nguyen Xuan Toan concluded.

"This will be a symbolic tournament for the Vietnamese pickleball movement. This is demonstrated through many firsts: the tournament applies the most modern VAR technology system in Vietnam, the most modern scoring system, and players participating in the tournament are insured, something that very few tournaments can do.

In particular, the tournament aims at humanitarian and social security goals by supporting the construction of 5 charity houses in Cao Bang province from the registration fees of athletes," Mr. Le Ngoc Anh expressed his joy right after the drawing ceremony of the pickleball tournament "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new day" took place on the afternoon of July 2.

The "Dan Tri 20 Years - New Bright Days" pickleball tournament has 576 athletes competing in 8 events, including 6 events for amateur athletes: Dan Tri Lead, Dan Tri & Friends, men's doubles 6.5, men's doubles 5.5, women's doubles 5.0, women's doubles 4.5. In addition, the tournament will have 2 events for professional athletes, including Open men's doubles and Open women's doubles.
