Vietnam women's volleyball team enters the semi-finals of VTV Ferroli Cup 2025

VHO - An easy 3-0 victory over the National U21 Women's Team helped the Vietnamese women's volleyball team enter the semi-finals of the VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament.

Taking place from June 28 to July 5, 2025 at Vinh Phuc Stadium, the VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament brings together 8 women's teams from countries and territories.

The Vietnamese women's team did not encounter many difficulties to enter the semi-finals.

Teams compete in a round robin in each group to determine rankings, with the top four teams advancing to the quarter-finals to play cross-overs with the other group.

Group A includes the Vietnam national team, the Philippines team, Sichuan Club (China) and the Australian team.

Group B includes the Vietnam U21 team, Korabelka Club (Russia), Chinese Taipei team and Thailand U21.

After passing the group stage as the top team in Group A, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team met the 4th ranked team in Group B, the Vietnam U21 women's team, in the semi-final match, taking place on the evening of July 3.

In set 1, the Vietnamese women's team quickly accelerated to a score of 24-13.

Although the Vietnam U21 women's team had an impressive streak of 8 consecutive points, they still lost 21-25.

In set 2, the Vietnamese women's U21 team fought hard with their seniors at the beginning of the set with a gap of 4-5 points.

But then, the Vietnamese women's team continuously won points to end set 2 with a score of 25-13.

Set 3, U21 women's Vietnam quickly lost with a score of 9-25.

In the end, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team convincingly won 3-0 against the Vietnamese women's U21 team to enter the semi-finals to meet Chinese Taipei - the team that did not have much difficulty overcoming Sichuan (China) in the quarter-finals.
