Then, on July 9, in Denmark, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and the delegation had meetings with the Vietnamese community at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark.
At the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh reported that the Vietnamese community in Denmark currently has about 17,000 people, has a stable life, respects local laws, is relatively highly educated; is loved by the Danes for being diligent, and integrates well into the local society. A team of Vietnamese intellectuals has been formed, is actively participating in local social life, is highly appreciated by the Danish government, and includes a number of individuals who have become famous.
The people expressed their pride and joy at the country’s transformation; their desire to contribute to the country’s development. Representatives of the Association of Vietnamese Experts and Intellectuals in Denmark (AVIDE), which brings together Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Denmark in the fields of medicine, engineering, automation, technology, biology, etc.; reported on the activities and initiatives of the association after more than a year of establishment.
With the spirit of turning towards the Fatherland, the intellectual community in Denmark is deeply aware of its responsibility towards the major policies of the Party and State, especially Resolution 57 and the heartfelt call of General Secretary To Lam on the need for "truly special preferential policies" to attract and promote talents.
AVIDE proposes a specific cooperation model to maximize the potential of the knowledge community, the “Knowledge Satellite Network” model with the core view: “Contribution does not only mean return”.

The two parallel pillars for the operating model include the first pillar “Elite Repatriation Corridor” and the second pillar “Launching Platform for Local Knowledge Satellites”. To promote the strongest role of the association in the second pillar, AVIDE proposes 3 initiatives (green energy bridge, digitalization of healthcare and society, sustainable innovation incubator) and 2 mechanisms (financial support mechanism, connection mechanism).
Supporting Vietnamese knowledge development in Denmark is also a way to create a knowledge network on the world map, a strong resource of the country, contributing to the prosperity of both countries and further deepening the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Denmark.
Sharing about the characteristics of the Vietnamese community in the country, the people said that despite the ups and downs, the Vietnamese people in Denmark are always united, helping each other, and looking towards their homeland. Community connection in the coming time is very necessary with flexible and creative forms to bring the community closer.
