
According to the investigation results of the Forestry Department - Gia Lai Forest Ranger in coordination with the Institute of Forest Investigation and Planning of the South Central and Central Highlands, it is recorded that in the province there are currently 460 endangered, precious and rare species, including 319 plant species, 65 bird species, 36 reptile species and 40 mammal species.

According to Mr. Ha, the survey results have important implications for science , natural resource management and sustainable development. Many of these species are listed in the Vietnam Red Book, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red Book and domestic and international legal documents on biodiversity conservation.
Based on these results, the project has proposed solutions to conserve and restore the ecosystem, thereby improving the effectiveness of forest protection and conservation of endangered species in Gia Lai.
