Recently, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention ( Hanoi City Police) received a report from 3 victims in Hanoi about being scammed when investing in stocks on the SKSVIP application.

The victims said they were invited to participate in an online stock investment course on an application called SKSVIP, which has an interface identical to official stock trading websites and applications with stock codes, indexes, and face values ​​exactly like those on the real stock market.

Players are then guided to buy and sell stocks that are trading on the floor.

Associated with events of large companies (company anniversary) or people in the company with inside information, the subjects "draw" themselves attractive incentives to buy cheap bonus shares at only 7,000 VND - 10,000 VND / share, only 1/4 - 1/5 of the actual value to continue to trick players into depositing money to invest.

Initially, the participant makes a profit and can withdraw small amounts.

Trusting, 3 players continued to deposit more money to participate in investing with the promise of higher profits with an amount of up to more than 3.5 billion VND.

When players want to withdraw money, scammers give many reasons such as the trading account has violated the buying/selling principles and require more money to be deposited so that the account can operate normally again and can withdraw money to the account, high-profit accounts need to pay taxes...

To avoid fraud, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention recommends that people be vigilant and not invest online without clearly understanding the company or business. If you want to invest, go directly to the management agencies to register and open an account to ensure the authenticity of the investment.

In addition, people should be wary of requests to deposit money, invest or engage in financial transactions of unknown origin.

Fraudsters often use tricks promising high profits or attractive investment opportunities to appropriate victims' assets.

When encountering cases showing signs of fraud, people need to contact the police to promptly resolve the case according to regulations.
