UIT students have the opportunity to make games right in the curriculum

Students will develop game products that can be released on ecosystems right in the curriculum, opening up new opportunities for training high-tech human resources.

On September 10, the University of Information Technology (UIT), Ho Chi Minh City National University and VNG Corporation (VNG) organized the opening ceremony of the course SE116 - Developing Game Programming Skills for Practical Applications.

This is a pioneering strategic cooperation between the Game Development Fresher (GDF) training program of ZingPlay Game Studios (ZPS) and the Game Development training program of the Software Engineering Department of the University of Information Technology, aiming to bring the entire learning and product development process of students into a professional working environment at VNG Campus.

The event is not just a regular class but a comprehensive training project, realizing the policy of connecting schools-enterprises/research.

The SE116 course is designed according to the "learning by doing" model, providing students with experiences: International standard learning space; real products, real releases...

Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang, Vice Principal of University of Information Technology, spoke at the event.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang, Vice Principal of the University of Information Technology, emphasized that the training cooperation between UIT and VNG not only gives students the opportunity to study in a modern industrial environment, but also contributes to realizing the school/enterprise linkage model.

“Students not only acquire knowledge, but also practice practical skills, professional working style and product thinking - essential factors to succeed in the gaming industry,” said Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang.
