Tan Thanh is one of the border gates with quite vibrant import and export activities. In order to facilitate customs clearance activities and attract import and export enterprises, from 2023 to present, Tan Thanh Border Gate Customs Team has focused on implementing various forms to remove difficulties for enterprises.
Mr. Trieu Van Hanh, Deputy Head of Tan Thanh Border Gate Customs, said: Currently, there are 1,466 enterprises carrying out import-export procedures at the border gate. The customs force has proactively and actively followed up on the production and business situation of enterprises to promptly have solutions to support and promote customs clearance of goods. Accordingly, in addition to coordinating the organization of dialogue conferences, Tan Thanh Border Gate Customs has established and maintained the operation of a problem-solving team; arranged staff of the unit in the customs clearance area to directly support enterprises... From 2023 to present, the customs force at Tan Thanh Border Gate has received and resolved difficulties and problems for over 3,000 import-export enterprises.
Not only Tan Thanh Border Gate Customs, Dong Dang International Railway Station Customs also synchronously implemented solutions to promptly grasp and remove difficulties for import-export enterprises. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nga, Deputy Head of Dong Dang International Railway Station Customs, said: From 2023 to now, the unit has coordinated to organize 3 conferences to meet and dialogue with import-export enterprises. Thanks to that, it has contributed to attracting enterprises to carry out customs clearance procedures here. In the first 6 months of 2025, there were 140 enterprises carrying out import and export of goods through the border gate, an increase of 48.9% over the same period in 2024.
According to data from the Customs Branch of Region VI, from 2023 to present, the branch and its affiliated units have organized 10 dialogue conferences with more than 1,000 enterprises representing more than 3,500 enterprises with import-export activities through the province. In addition, customs units in the area have established and maintained the operation of a problem-solving team; maintained the implementation of receiving and resolving feedback and recommendations from the business community through information channels such as suggestion boxes, the unit's website, hotline, etc. Immediately after the dialogue and receiving comments, the customs agency analyzed in detail the difficulties of enterprises, thereby developing solutions to remove them.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the import and export turnover of goods through the province reached over 36.8 billion USD, an increase of 44.6% over the same period in 2024. In the coming time, the branch will continue to coordinate with related departments, branches and sectors to organize Customs - Enterprise dialogue conferences; direct customs units to create maximum conditions for enterprises when carrying out customs procedures for import and export goods; arrange and assign qualified staff to promptly advise and answer difficulties and problems for enterprises and import-export traders according to the motto of doing all the work, not all the hours; promptly grasp the difficulties and problems of enterprises to have measures to support and handle them; promote the reform and simplification of administrative procedures, reduce time and travel costs for people and enterprises; Continue to coordinate with local authorities to closely monitor developments at border gates to promptly handle arising situations, creating the most favorable conditions for import and export activities.
The companionship of customs forces at the border gate has been providing practical support to businesses operating import and export activities through the area. It is believed that, with the attention of departments and branches, especially the customs agency, in the coming time, customs clearance activities will continue to be vibrant and maintain growth momentum.
