Hanoi urgently deploys plans to prevent and combat natural disasters

The Hanoi City Party Committee and People's Committee have just requested Party committees at all levels, departments, branches and localities to urgently deploy plans for natural disaster prevention, control, search and rescue.

On July 10, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a document to departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes and wards, requesting urgent implementation of the City Party Committee's direction on strengthening leadership and direction in disaster prevention, control, rescue and relief work.

The Hanoi People's Committee emphasized that units and localities need to base on their assigned functions and tasks to promptly, drastically, synchronously and effectively deploy plans and solutions for natural disaster prevention, control, rescue and relief to ensure the safety of people's lives and property and the State.

Previously, the Hanoi Party Committee issued an official dispatch directing the entire political system to strengthen leadership, direction, proactively prevent, respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters during the 2025 storm season. The Hanoi Party Committee requested Party committees and organizations at all levels to continue to seriously implement Directive No. 42-CT/TU of the Secretariat on improving the capacity to respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters; promote the role of leaders, mobilize the entire political system to participate, strengthen inspection and supervision, promptly correct shortcomings and weaknesses in implementing disaster prevention and control plans at the grassroots level...
