Balenciaga's Fall-Winter 2026 haute couture show in Paris (France) not only closed the haute couture season, but also marked the farewell of Creative Director Demna after 10 years with the fashion house.

Backstage, the Georgian designer shared mixed feelings as he prepared to leave Paris - which he calls "the city of love and struggle" - to begin his new journey at Gucci, which is set to debut next week in Milan, Italy.
Before departure, Demna emphasized his desire to “redefine high fashion for today's era.”

Kim Kardashian made a splash on the runway in a beige petticoat paired with an off-the-shoulder faux mink coat, inspired by screen icon Elizabeth Taylor.
To add to the splendor, she chose expensive jewelry including a necklace and large diamond earrings from designer Lorraine Schwartz, once owned by legendary star Elizabeth Taylor.
After the show, Kim Kardashian quickly changed into another Balenciaga outfit. This time, she wore white pants with a tight strap dress and dark sunglasses, creating a slim yet stylish overall look.
Cardi B continues to assert her status as a "red carpet queen" with a gorgeous and daring look. The female rapper chose a see-through black design with sparkling sequins, creating an attractive visual effect.
The bodycon dress with a high slit accentuates the sexy curves, combined with lace fabric and puffy sleeves to create a blend of classic and modern. Curly hair and sharp makeup contribute to the luxurious aura, standing out among the event guests.
Katy Perry attracts attention in a mini-dress blazer with a sexy sweetheart neckline and an asymmetrical cut for an interesting accent. The figure-flattering waist design is fastened with a series of large black buttons.
At the Balenciaga show, actress Roh Yoon Seo stood out in a minimalist yet captivating outfit. She wore a long, off-the-shoulder black dress, designed asymmetrically with delicate lace patterns for a gentle yet luxurious accent.
The long skirt combined with black leggings inside - a common feature in Balenciaga's runway style - makes the overall look more trendy.
Roh Yoon Seo completed her look with a pair of sparkling long earrings and a classic black leather handbag, creating an elegant, modern yet unique look.
"Normalizing" high fashion
At Balenciaga's Fall 2026 Haute Couture show, Creative Director Demna continued to assert his position by delving into craftsmanship and honoring the past.
Inspired by the concept of “La Bourgeoisie”, the influential and wealthy upper class, Demna studied not only how they dressed, but also how they consumed.
He takes viewers back to 15th-century power silhouettes with tulip collars modernized in turtlenecks or dramatic yet trendy jaw-hugging knits.
Oversized suits with off-the-shoulder jackets, tailored to muscular figures, and structured, twisted coats. These were the final looks in the Balenciaga legacy under Demna.
The runway was filled with Creative Director Demna's signature touches. Metaphorical details, archival motifs and couture techniques were presented in a subtle, understated way.
Isabelle Huppert’s chin-wrapped ensemble evokes New Hollywood, where fashion becomes a subtle camouflage for traces of plastic surgery. It follows on from her collaboration with Erewhon for Fall 2024 in Los Angeles, which featured controversial fake swollen lips.
Despite his many controversies, the Georgian designer has created his own signature style, becoming a role model for a new generation to admire in the same way he himself was immersed in the past.
