FIFA launches official brand and logo of 2026 World Cup

On the morning of May 18 (local time), at Times Square in New York City (USA), the official brand and logo launch ceremony for the 2026 World Cup organized by FIFA took place.

The ceremony was attended by officials from New York City and New Jersey, along with many fans of the king sport .

Speaking at the ceremony, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy thanked FIFA for bringing the World Cup back to New Jersey and New York, the soccer heartland of the United States, and that the two localities were ready for the biggest soccer event on the planet.

Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the city is ready to welcome global fans to come here to admire the scenery and experience the diverse and unique local culture.

The official New York/New Jersey 2026 logo was displayed on billboards in Times Square, and the iconic New Year's Eve "time ball" displayed a countdown clock to 2026.

The 2026 World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico in 16 cities with 48 teams and 104 matches.

In 2022, New York City and the state of New Jersey won the right to host matches at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey for the 2026 World Cup.
