In the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed nearly 10.7 million international visitors, up 20.7% over the same period in 2024 and exceeding 25.7% over the same period in 2019 - the time before the COVID-19 pandemic. In June 2025 alone, nearly 1.5 million international visitors came to Vietnam, up 17% over the same period last year.
China and South Korea were the two largest markets, accounting for 25.6% and 20.7% of total arrivals, respectively. In addition, many Asian and European markets recorded impressive increases, such as: Russia (+139.3%), Philippines (+105%), India (+41%), Cambodia (+55.6%), Japan (+17.2%).
This result is thanks to visa exemption policies, convenient e-visa issuance, and creative tourism promotion campaigns in Asia, Europe and on digital platforms./.
