"EXITS" ANSWERS FOR LITERATURE OPEN FOR CANDIDATES
Master Nguyen Phuoc Bao Khoi, lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, commented that the literature answer key reflects the spirit of competency assessment. specifically, it measures the level of application of knowledge and skills to practical situations, not the level of mechanical memorization of knowledge. The answer key specifically stated the requirements for knowledge and skills, creating conditions for the examiner to have a basis for assessing the candidate's test; closely following the requirements of the 2018 literature program on reading short stories and writing argumentative essays. The answer key was closely linked to the context of the question, the answer options were based on the data of the test, and at the same time, it allowed the candidate to express his/her personal opinion and present his/her own solution to the problem if it was reasonable and convincing. In addition, the answer key requires the examiner to be flexible in scoring.

Master Khoi recognized that the answer opened a "way out" for candidates when accepting the bullet point presentation of the ideas that need to be stated. It can be said that this is the first time that the requirement for bullet point presentation is explicitly stated in the answer, increasing the advantage of scoring for candidates, legitimizing the concise and concise presentation, creating conditions for teachers in the process of guiding students in reading comprehension skills. It is easy to see that in the answer there are simple, appropriate requirements, corresponding to the content that is very easy to get points, providing great support for the majority of students who are not strong in literature.
For example, in the reading comprehension section, writing a social argumentative paragraph, writing a social argumentative essay, correctly identifying the argumentative issue, ensuring the requirements of form, capacity, using evidence... the students were able to achieve 4/10 points very easily. This is a very valuable "escape route" that the exam committee has almost provided the best support for students to ensure the simplest and most basic knowledge and skills.
According to Master Khoi, the reading comprehension answers have presented very detailed and specific important content that needs to be met. These contents have been presented with the number of ideas appropriate to the score of each question; the importance of the questions at the comprehension and application levels (accounting for 3/4 of the score of this part) is clearly shown through the number of ideas and corresponding answer capacity. It is also easy to see that the question board has selected the most basic, common, and general "keywords" to help students' work at the normal learning level meet the requirements and to help reduce some of the pressure on the examiner's work.
The answers to the writing section have classified the ideas according to the level of task completion. Through the steps, we can see the traces of the levels of differentiation quite clearly, further demonstrating the characteristics of an answer to assess capacity.
However, according to Master Bao Khoi, in the long run, the Ministry of Education and Training should consider publishing marking instructions instead of answers to clarify requirements such as deducting points for poor expression and sloppy presentation. This will help students pay more attention to test presentation skills in addition to reading comprehension and writing skills.
With the published answers, although the literature test has a very good level of differentiation, the score distribution is likely to be around 6 to 7. However, it will be difficult to get many scores of 9 or higher because some new requirements have been set regarding creativity/personal mark as well as the deduction points for presentation and expression errors that are not yet clear...

MATH NEEDS MORE SPECIFIC SOLUTIONS
Regarding the math exam answer sheet, Master Tran Van Toan, TVT Math Edu Center, Hoa Hung Ward (old District 10), Ho Chi Minh City, evaluated the answer sheet as transparent and clear. However, the question numbers in the answer sheet are not consistent with the question numbers in each section of the exam.
The answer key only provides the final result option, which is consistent with the objective test format of previous years. However, this year's test format has added two new parts: true-false test and short answer. To get the answer for this part, candidates must go through the steps of solving the problem, so the answer key needs to have a solution for teachers and candidates to refer to.
According to Master Tran Van Toan, for example, with the practical geometry question in the short answer section, if the candidate knows the formula for the volume of a truncated pyramid and the volume of a spherical cap, he or she can solve this problem very quickly. But if he or she does not know, does not know by heart and has to use purely 12th grade knowledge of integrals, the problem becomes more difficult and the solution is longer. Therefore, both students and teachers expect the answers to show the solutions to orient how to study properly. From there, is it necessary to pay attention to formulas and tricks outside of the textbook?
At the same time, through the exam questions and answers of the first year math exam according to the new program, teachers suggested that the Ministry of Education and Training should consider rebalancing the proportion of knowledge in the 11th grade program. Right from part 1 of this year's high school graduation exam, with 12 objective multiple choice questions of an "anti-paralysis" nature, the 11th grade knowledge questions accounted for 50%. 11th grade knowledge also accounted for the majority of the 6 questions in the short answer section.
ENGLISH TEST ANSWERS ARE NOT SURPRISING
According to Mr. Tran Ngoc Huu Phuoc, a teacher at Bui Thi Xuan High School, Ben Thanh Ward (old District 1), Ho Chi Minh City, the English answer was not surprising because the test was simply an objective multiple choice test like previous years.
At the same time, according to Mr. Huu Phuoc, the 2025 English high school graduation exam sends a strong message: English is not just a subject to get high scores but a vital tool in the integrated world . The exam requires and promotes comprehensive innovation in teaching and learning thinking, towards flexible, proactive English learning, and most importantly, better meets the requirements of the 4.0 era - where language proficiency is not just knowing vocabulary or grammar, but the ability to communicate effectively, think critically, and learn continuously. Learning English needs to shift dramatically from a passive state (one-way knowledge reception, memorizing formulas) to being proactive, positive and creative instead of just memorizing dry grammar formulas or being too dependent on textbooks with familiar exercises.
Exactly at 8:00 on July 16, exam results announced
Yesterday afternoon (July 6), the Ministry of Education and Training announced the official exam questions and answers for all subjects in the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Up to this point, it is noted that many localities are focusing on grading high school graduation exams. Many localities are expected to complete grading subjects by July 10, send data to the Ministry of Education and Training and announce exam scores on time.
Note to officials in charge of marking exams at all marking councils, especially essay subjects such as literature, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that the exam questions are open and familiar to teachers and students. The marking instructions are also open to properly assess students' abilities. There is a common marking ratio to ensure evenness. After completion, at least 5% must be checked.
The Deputy Minister of Education and Training also noted that if there is anything unusual in the grading process, it needs to be reviewed to ensure fairness and benefits for the candidates. In particular, the efforts, creativity, initiative, and individual thinking of the candidates must be recognized, of course, ensure that they follow output standards, criteria of theeducational process, and grading guidelines.
According to the regulations of the examination boards of provinces and cities, the high school graduation exam marking work begins from July 5 to 13. At exactly 8:00 am on July 16, the examination boards will announce the exam results.
