This morning, the Hanoi Capital Command held a conference to hand over the duties of the Command's Political Commissar.
Previously, on June 26, the Minister of National Defense decided to appoint Colonel Luu Nam Tien to the position of Political Commissar of the Hanoi Capital Command.
At the conference, Lieutenant General Tran Ngoc Tuan - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, former Political Commissar of the Hanoi Capital Command handed over the task of Political Commissar to Colonel Luu Nam Tien.
Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army emphasized that over the years, the military forces, militia, and reserve forces of the capital have always been steadfast and steady, truly a trustworthy political force and a loyal fighting force of the Party, government, and people of the capital.
The Capital Command has regularly coordinated closely with the Hanoi City Police and other forces to grasp the local situation, ensure absolute safety for holidays, anniversaries, and important political events of the country and the Capital; promptly advise and propose effective measures to handle complicated cases related to religion, rural security, and security and order in accordance with its functions and tasks.
Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet requested that Colonel Luu Nam Tien, after receiving the assignment, must immediately get to work, together with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, focus on leading and directing the Hanoi Capital Command to successfully complete all tasks; regularly study, thoroughly grasp and concretize the Party's political and military guidelines, the Resolution of the Central Military Commission, the direction of the Ministry of National Defense and the reality of the capital area; lead and direct the improvement of the quality of Party building work, continue to build the capital's armed forces strong in politics, ideology and organization as a basis for improving overall quality and high combat strength; attach importance to building the main force and local forces in the direction of "revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern".
Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet also requested to build a "strong, high-quality" reserve force; a "strong, widespread" militia and self-defense force; to meet the requirements of protecting the capital and the Fatherland in the new situation; to successfully complete the targets and work plans for 2025, focusing on successfully organizing the Congress of Delegates of the Hanoi Capital Command Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
