Not disappointing the expectations of teachers, family and those who love him, Manh Duc passed the 10th grade entrance exam with high scores.

Recently, sharing with VietNamNet , the male student said he got a score of 9.25 in Math; 9.25 in English and 7.25 in Literature, with a total admission score of 25.75 and was admitted to Yen Hoa High School (with a standard score of 25).

Talking about the 10th grade exam results, Manh Duc said he was very happy because he tried his best and passed his first choice. He only regretted a little that he could not be admitted to the 10th grade IT major. "Partly because I planned to take the specialized exam and spent time reviewing too late," Duc shared.

Duc plans to take Computer Science and Natural Science oriented classes in high school.

"In the future, I will try to study well and complete high school so that I can be admitted to the university of my choice," Duc said.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, Principal of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School, said that Duc's admission to Yen Hoa High School - one of the top schools in Hanoi - was a great result and the school was extremely happy. "It's already great that our students passed the 10th grade exam with high results, but in Duc's case, we are even happier. Because to achieve this result, Duc had to try extremely hard," Ms. Loan said.

“Duc has lived up to the expectations of his teachers, family and friends with a very proud result. Hopefully today’s results will be a springboard for him to develop further in the future.”

Ms. Loan said that on July 11, the school will also hold a ceremony to honor students who achieved high results in this year's 10th grade entrance exam, and Nguyen Manh Duc is one of them.

As VietNamNet reported, on the days of the 10th grade entrance exam, Nguyen Manh Duc brought his little sister along and asked the young volunteers to look after her before entering the exam room. This moment was recorded by the parent who took his child to the exam. The male student shared that his mother had gone to work and had not returned in time. After Duc entered the exam, his little sister was taken care of by the surrounding parents and given breakfast. A while later, the mother of the two brothers rode her bike to the exam location.

Some people were moved when seeing the photos recording the incident, expressing admiration, even joking that this was "the male student who worked the hardest during the exam".

"This is truly an exemplary older brother", "What a great older brother", "That's how an older brother is, busy with exams but still can't forget his younger brother",... are comments for the student.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, Principal of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School, said that during the 10th grade exams, Duc often had to take his younger sister with him because his mother worked shifts and could not return in time. “On the days when my mother was away, I took care of my younger sister myself before going to school,” she said.

According to Ms. Loan, Duc is a special case. Born in 2006, he had to drop out of school in the middle of the first semester of grade 8 due to a family incident. When he returned, Duc had to study two general education programs at the same time. At first, she was very worried that he would not be able to keep up. But Duc proved it with his effort, diligence, and always taking the time to review his lessons even when his friends were having fun.

According to Ms. Loan, Duc studied very well, especially in grade 9. He got the highest score in the grade 2 midterm exam in three subjects: Math, Literature, English, and was a member of the school's Math team.

“You have shown that your bravery comes not only from your grades, but also from the way you face your circumstances, with initiative, kindness and love,” Ms. Loan shared.
