Danang University of Technology affirms its role as a leading training and research center in the Central Highlands region.

DNO - On the morning of July 5, the University of Technology (University of Danang) celebrated its 50th anniversary. Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Ngo Dong Hai; Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Danang City Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh; Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission Vo Cong Chanh.

The event marks half a century of construction, development and growth with many outstanding achievements, affirming its role as a leading training and research center in the Central Highlands region.

According to Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son, after 50 years of construction and development, the University of Technology has made steady progress, gradually affirming its position as one of the leading centers for training and research in engineering and technology in the country.

Central and local leaders presented flowers to congratulate the school.

Implementing the major policies of the Party and Government on fundamental and comprehensive innovationof education and training, promoting university autonomy, developing science, technology and innovation, the school needs to continue to arrange and perfect its organization and apparatus, focusing on building the school into a leading center for training, scientific research and technology transfer in the country.

Promote innovation in training programs, teaching and learning methods towards international integration; improve the quality of the teaching staff, promote the leading role, provide professional guidance for the scientific community, create conditions for young lecturers to study, research and contribute.

The University of Technology, formerly known as Danang University, was established right after the country's reunification (1975), with the first 329 students and 4 Faculties in extremely poor material conditions.

Over the past 50 years, the school has developed into a key technical university in the Central region and the whole country with 14 faculties, 9 functional units, 11 research and training centers; 16 doctoral majors, 18 master's majors, 41 university majors/specializations, with a scale of nearly 18,000 students and trainees. The staff of 546 officers and civil servants, including 407 tutors...

The school has established relationships with more than 100 universities, research institutes, and international organizations; implement many joint training programs with partners such as the US, France, and Japan; actively participated in Erasmus+, DAAD, JICA, AUF projects...

In addition, the school always focuses on investing in modern, international-standard laboratory and practice workshop infrastructure, helping students to be solid in theory, good at practice, and ready to integrate into global careers.

On this occasion, the school organized a ceremony to honor outstanding groups and individuals for their contributions to education.

* Within the framework of the celebration, the University of Technology inaugurated the National Key Laboratory for shared Mechatronics and applications. The project's goal is to improve the capacity for human resource training and scientific research in the field of Mechatronics to serve industrial production, while promoting the policy of shared use of laboratory and practice equipment to attract links to support applied research and innovation.

The project will be implemented from 2023 to 2025, with a total investment of 40 billion VND, including purchasing and installing synchronous experimental equipment in the field of Mechatronics and applications; renovating and repairing the laboratory before installing equipment; laboratories in many different fields such as Robots, IoTs, material science, molds, simulation design.
