The province has made efforts to encourage the dissemination and teaching of Thai script in the area, contributing to the preservation of heritage.
On July 5, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 2191/QD-BVHTTDL on including Thai script in Nghe An in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
According to this decision, the heritage recognized is in the form of Spoken and Written Language, currently used by the Thai ethnic community in many localities including: Thai Hoa town, Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son districts. The recognition aims to contribute to protecting and promoting traditional cultural values associated with the daily life of the Thai people in the province.

The Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies are assigned the responsibility of managing and developing a plan to preserve and teach Thai script according to the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.
According to Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long, over the past years, Nghe An province has made many efforts to encourage the dissemination and teaching of Thai script in the area, contributing to the preservation of this special heritage.
