Affirming the pivotal role in training technical sectors

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering is one of the first four faculties of Danang University, the predecessor of the University of Technology. In the early days of its establishment, the faculty had 95 students and 10 teaching staff. Based on a clear recognition of the socio-economic development needs of the Central Highlands region, the faculty has built a training program for electrical engineering engineers in a broad-based specialization.

The Faculty always focuses on improving training programs, developing a team of highly qualified lecturers, promoting research and enhancing cooperation with domestic and foreign enterprises and partners. Currently, the Faculty is training 2 key majors at all 3 levels: undergraduate, master's and doctoral: Electrical Engineering and Control Engineering & Automation.

The entire faculty has 41 staff members, including 33 lecturers with doctoral degrees, including 1 professor and 8 associate professors. The current training scale of the faculty is more than 2,200 students.

Over 50 years of construction and development, the faculty has trained more than 15,000 engineers, nearly 1,000 masters and 20 doctors in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering and Automation, providing high-quality human resources in the field of electrical engineering for the Central Highlands region in particular and the whole country in general.

* On the same morning, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Technology (University of Danang ) celebrated its 50th anniversary. As one of the first four faculties of Danang University, the predecessor of the University of Technology, the school has trained teaching staff; built experiments, built practice workshops to train students in the first course of Machine Manufacturing and opened the majors of dynamic mechanics, casting, metallurgy, and textile mechanics.

Up to now, the faculty has 37 staff, 3 associate professors, 19 doctors, 12 masters with 3 university-level majors including Mechanical Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronic Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering; 2 master training majors: Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronic Engineering; 1 doctoral training major: Mechanical Manufacturing Technology.

The training programs are always improved and updated continuously, meeting the training quality for the development of society. In addition, the system of laboratories and practice rooms is gradually built according to the training program, meeting the strong development of the times. After 50 years, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has trained over 12,000 mechanical engineers and 300 masters, the alumni of the faculty have made great contributions to many socio-economic fields of the country.

In the coming time, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will focus on building and further improving the quality assurance training program; focusing on developing scientific research, emphasizing technology transfer, promoting business cooperation and international cooperation.
