On July 4, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Huu Ich, Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command, said that the unit is implementing the construction of a helipad in Tra Tap commune (Tra Cang commune, former Nam Tra My district) with a budget of 7 billion VND.

In addition, the Da Nang City People's Committee advised to invest in a helipad in Hung Son Commune (A Xan Commune, former Tay Giang District) with a proposed investment of 7-10 billion VND. The project has been surveyed and agreed to be built with the 372nd Air Defense Division.

Previously, in 2021, a helipad in Phuoc Thanh commune (formerly Phuoc Son district) was invested in construction with a budget of 5 billion VND. This landing pad has been effective in rescue and relief work in recent years as a food gathering point and material storage for people before the rainy season.

According to the Da Nang City Military Command, Phuoc Thanh, Tra Tap, and Hung Son communes are all mountainous and border areas of the former Quang Nam province and now Da Nang city. These areas have high mountainous terrain, steep slopes, and are often affected by flash floods, landslides, etc.

Meanwhile, the logistics facilities serving disaster prevention, control and search and rescue (PCTT & TKCN) work of localities still face many difficulties.

Investing in building material gathering places to serve PCTT & TKCN work for communes before and during the rainy and stormy season, as well as creating a helipad in case the roads are cut off, is really necessary, especially to be ready to ensure when a national defense situation occurs.

Thereby contributing to ensuring good national defense and security situation in border areas and timely and effective implementation of PCTT & TKCN work in emergency situations.
