Attending the program at the Hai Phong City Theater Square were comrades: Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation; Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of the city's departments, branches and sectors.
At the Eastern Cultural Center, there were comrade Pham Van Lap, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Council, along with comrades of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee; leaders of agencies, units and a large number of people from the two localities watching the program.
After 138 years since September 11, 1887, the time when Hai Phong was established on a part of Hai Duong province, the merger of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province today not only has administrative significance, but also a return to the common origin of the ancient Eastern land. The event marks a historical turning point, opening a new development journey with the position and stature of the third largest city in the country, an industrial, civilized, modern port city, full of aspirations to become a typical urban area of Southeast Asia and the world .
Sharing the same origin, Hai Phong and Hai Duong people have a closely-knit culture, similar in character and customs. The two localities are the place where Vietnamese cultural values converge and spread, where the quintessence of human culture is exchanged and received, contributing to enriching the national cultural identity.
The art program at 02 Bridge Points brings to the public and visitors feelings of pride, depth and freshness about the cultural values and people of each land. Thereby, arousing faith in a promising unified future, creating a strong motivation to work together to build and develop a new Hai Phong city - radiant, civilized and modern.
The opening of the art program was the song Hai Phong Rising (poem by Pham Hong Diep, music by Ngoc Tuyet), followed by a series of performances bearing the imprint of the homeland such as: Hai Duong, land of memories (composed by Xuan Tri), Sparkling Hai Duong (People's Artist Cao Huu Nhac), Ben bo mong mong (Duy Thai), Hai Phong, my homeland (Xuan Binh), City of flowers lighting fire (Tung Ngoc), Welcoming the dawn (Duong Quoc Hung), Hai Duong radiant sun rising (Minh Duc), Hai Phong medley...
The program also featured special art performances such as Uy Linh Van Kiep Con Son singing (lyrics by Tran Dinh Ngon), Ripe Fabric Season dance (music by Cao Xuan Dung, choreography by People's Artist Huu Tu), and graceful Ao Dai performances by the Top 15 Miss Earth and Top Miss Heritage.
The program ended with a brilliant fireworks display, like a greeting to the future, lighting up the belief and aspiration for a Hai Phong city - Hai Duong province to develop together, together writing new, bright and proud pages of history.
The art program “Rang ro Hai Phong” was organized under the direction of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee; hosted by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong. Participating in the performance were many artists and actors from the Hai Duong Provincial Culture and Arts Center, Hai Duong Cheo Theater, Hai Phong Traditional Stage Theater, Hai Phong Contemporary Arts Theater, Hai Phong School of Culture, Arts and Tourism, along with the participation of many guest artists from inside and outside the city.
