Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directs and urges implementation of social housing projects

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong has just sent a document to the Department of Finance and the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City to convey the opinion of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to implement Official Dispatch No. 19/CD-BXD of the Ministry of Construction on urging the implementation of investment in the construction of social housing.

Accordingly, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc assigned the Department of Construction to perform a number of tasks such as: advising and proposing to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to consider issuing a Decision to establish the Steering Committee for the development of social housing (NOXH) in Ho Chi Minh City and the operating regulations of the Steering Committee.

Continue to urge social housing project investors to focus all resources to complete registered projects in 2025.

Continue to urge social housing project investors to focus on implementing project legal procedures to strive to start construction for projects registered to start construction in 2025.

Advise and propose to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to consider issuing a plan to implement the preparation work to select investors for construction investment projects for land areas that the city calls for investment after the Decree guiding the implementation of Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15 of the Government is issued.

Update land plots with the goal of building social housing into the zoning plan to serve as a basis for implementing the next procedures of the project and planning to arrange enough land fund for investment in building social housing.

Advise and propose to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City incentive mechanisms, support, and create favorable conditions for enterprises and cooperatives to participate in investing in the construction of social housing.

Compile and update the list when requested by investors of social housing projects that have the need and are eligible to borrow capital of 120,000 billion VND to report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Ministry of Construction ...

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction to advise the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to submit to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council additional targets for completing social housing in 2025 and the following years until 2030.
