Can Tho City Chairman Tran Viet Truong holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front

Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, was consulted and elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024 - 2029.

On the morning of January 20, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held the first meeting of the Presidium of the 10th tenure, 2024-2029. Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the VFF Central Committee Do Van Chien chaired the meeting.

At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented a report on the consultation of appointing personnel to participate in the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City.

Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said that previously, the Secretariat had issued a document agreeing to introduce Mr. Tran Viet Truong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, to join the Party Delegation to negotiate and elect him to hold the position of Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the conference, 100% of the delegates attending the conference voted to agree to introduce Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, to join the Party delegation to negotiate and elect him to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the 2nd Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Tran Viet Truong was unanimously elected by 100% of the delegates present to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024 - 2029.

New Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Viet Truong (born in 1971), from Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang province. Mr. Truong has professional qualifications of Electrical - Electronic Engineer, Master of Political Science, Doctor of Military Science.

Before becoming Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Tran Viet Truong held the following positions: Secretary of the Can Tho City Youth Union, Secretary of the Ninh Kieu District Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Can Tho City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee. Since 2020, Mr. Truong has held the position of Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee.
