V-League with Ambitions for a Return
The Viettel The Cong Club has just gone through a trophyless season when it stopped at the semi-finals of the National Cup and finished 4th in the V-League. This is unlikely to satisfy the leadership of the military team, especially when they have brought in one of the most talented and individual coaches in the V-League, Mr. Velizar Popov. Therefore, this club needs to return to the championship race strongly. They are currently well prepared with quality contracts that have been brought in, including V-League top scorer Lucao (from Hai Phong Club), Van Tram (from Ha Tinh Club), Xuan Tien, Van Viet (from SLNA) and Vietnamese-American center-back Kyle Colonna (from Hanoi Club).

Despite parting ways with Duc Chien (one of the most important players in the squad), with the newly recruited players, The Cong Viettel Club is still considered a team with depth and many national team players. They promise to be a top candidate for the championship.
The most lavish spender on the transfer market is probably the new recruit Ninh Binh. Although newly promoted, with stars like Hoang Duc and Van Lam, the goal of this team is not to stay in the league, but to compete for the championship. After recruiting the head coach and experts from Spain, they also signed contracts with foreign players Gustavo Henrique, Pedraza and Victor Morales. Not stopping there, the ancient capital team also brought in good domestic players like Quang Nho, Ngoc Quang, Bao Toan (from HAGL) and Duc Chien (from The Cong Viettel Club).
CAHN CLUB AND SOUTH AFRICA JUST SAVE
Next season, both Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) and Nam Dinh will have to compete in many arenas. In addition to the V-League and the National Cup, these two teams will also participate in the Asian Cup C2 and the Southeast Asian Cup C1. That is why they have to improve their squad strength and depth. For CAHN Club, they do not need more foreign players when Gomes, Leo Artur and Alan Grafite are in very stable form. Instead, coach Alexandre Polking focuses on recruiting domestic players. The police team has brought in quality domestic players, spread across 3 lines including Thanh Long (from Thanh Hoa Club), Dinh Tien (from Ha Tinh Club) and Ngoc Long (from Ho Chi Minh City Club). In addition, they will likely have the service of Brandon Ly - a Vietnamese-American player who grew up at the U.21 Burnley (England) academy.
Similar to CAHN FC, the squad of the reigning V-League champion Nam Dinh is relatively complete, with both foreign and domestic players of high quality. Now, they only need to add a few positions to rotate the squad. The two latest names to arrive at Thien Truong Stadium are A Mit (from Thanh Hoa FC) and Van Toi (from Hai Phong FC).
Hanoi FC is also in the group that does not spend too much money, but if they spend, they have to spend it worth it. They soon got the signature of midfielder Hendrio Araujo (from Nam Dinh FC). He is one of the best foreign players in V-League in the past 3 years. With Hendrio, Hanoi has a real "artist" in the midfield, someone who can make a difference in big matches. His presence helps Hanoi have more options to organize the game besides familiar faces like Hai Long, Tuan Hai or Van Quyet.
While the championship candidates are busy shopping, many other teams are quite quiet. Ha Tinh and Ho Chi Minh City have not had any notable contracts. After successfully staying in the league, SLNA has added two foreign players (Brandao from HAGL and Gustavo Santos from Thanh Hoa Club), but has not yet solved the problem of defense. Clubs such as Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Da Nang are also in a similar situation. These teams need to promote the transfer process to quickly complete and assemble the squad. Because next season, the relegation race will be more fierce when the number of direct relegation spots is 2, instead of 1 and a half spots like last season.
