According to the Department of Training, Ministry of Public Security , this year's assessment exam of the Ministry of Public Security had more than 23,000 candidates participated (an increase of nearly 5,000 candidates compared to last year). The admission quota for public security schools is 2,350 students.
Notably, the highest number of candidates applying for admission to the People's Public Security Academy was over 8,000. Meanwhile, the school's enrollment quota was only 100 students, with a competition ratio of up to 1/80.
If we subtract 10 direct admission quotas, the remaining 2 methods (considering international language certificates combined with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test and considering high school graduation exam scores combined with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test) will have about 90 quotas. Thus, the highest competition ratio can be up to 1/89.

With a large number of candidates registering for the exam, the People's Public Security Academy organized 10 exam sites, of which 5 exam sites in the Northern region are for candidates from Hue city and beyond; 5 exam sites in the Southern region are for candidates from Da Nang city and beyond.
Last year, the admission score for the People's Public Security Academy for male candidates in the North using the CA1 exam was 19.97 points, CA2 was 23.49 points; for female candidates in the North using the CA1 exam was 20.81 points, CA2 was 25.52 points.
Male candidates in the South using CA1 and CA2 exams have standard scores of 21.02 and 22.68 respectively; female candidates have benchmark scores of 16.36 and 23.96 respectively.
The 2025 Ministry of Public Security assessment exam consists of 4 exam codes (CA1, CA1, CA3 and CA4) with 3 parts: mandatory essay, mandatory multiple choice and optional multiple choice.
The admission score is still the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combined to the People's Police School (accounting for 40%) and the assessment test score of the Ministry of Public Security converted to a 30-point scale (accounting for 60%) rounded to 2 decimal places, plus regional priority points, subject priority points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, bonus points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.
The formula for calculating admission scores is as follows:
Admission score = (subject 1 score, subject 2 score, subject 3 score) * 2/5 points of the Ministry of Public Security assessment test * 3/5 bonus points. |
