Accordingly, at around 9am the same day, people discovered black smoke and a burning smell coming from an unnumbered boarding house, immediately shouted and reported to the authorities. The fire broke out quickly, spreading throughout the boarding house with 5 adjacent rooms, with a total area of about 50m².

Upon receiving the news, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Fire Prevention and Fighting Police mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene, deployed plans to extinguish the fire, control the fire, and prevent it from spreading to neighboring residential areas. By about 10:30, the fire was basically under control.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hiep, Chairman of Tan Thoi Hiep Ward People's Committee, said the fire did not cause any casualties. Property damage is being assessed. The burnt-out boarding house was designed with an iron frame, after the incident only the frame remained, many items inside were burned.

Because the boarding house was located close to the road and the fire broke out during rush hour, traffic on Do Muoi Street was severely congested. Traffic police arrived promptly to direct and regulate traffic.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
