Announcing the benchmark scores for entering grade 10 of high schools for the 2025-2026 school year

The Department of Education and Training has just announced the admission scores for grade 10 of public high schools in the province for the 2025-2026 school year, as well as announced the enrollment quota and instructions on the exam review process.

Accordingly, 27 high schools in the province have announced their benchmark scores and specific targets for the number of classes and students. Of which, Tan Trao High School has the highest benchmark score of 15.50 points. Some other schools have high benchmark scores such as: Chiem Hoa High School 14.00 points; Son Nam High School 13.25 points, Son Duong High School 12.50 points. The school with the lowest benchmark score is Xuan Huy High School 9.75 points.

High schools will base on the assigned enrollment quota and enrollment data to conduct admissions in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 30/2024/TT-BGDDT and Official Dispatch No. 408/SGDĐT-QLCL&GDNN. The deadline for high schools (except for specialized high schools and provincial high schools for ethnic minorities that were previously announced) to complete admissions applications and submit them to the Departmentof Education and Training for approval is July 29, 2025.

Along with that, the Department of Education and Training has also announced a specific schedule for announcing scores and reviewing exam papers. Schools must announce benchmark scores and exam results before 4:00 p.m. on July 9, 2025 by posting score sheets on the school's notice board.

For other forms of publication such as social networks, only information about the candidate number, full name and exam results are allowed to be disclosed to ensure the confidentiality of personal information. The time to receive appeal applications is from July 10, 2025 to July 16, 2025 at the high schools where candidates took the exam.

By July 17, 2025 at the latest, high schools must make a list of requests for review and send it to the Department of Quality Management, Department of Education and Training. The review council is expected to organize the review and announce the results before July 22, 2025.

According to the Department of Education and Training, the total enrollment target for grade 10 of 27 high schools is 9,693 students, Tuyen Quang Specialized High School has 420 students and the provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities is 210 students. Previously, the entrance exam for grade 10 of high schools in the 2025-2026 school year in the province took place on June 2 and 3, 2025 with more than 12,000 candidates taking the exam.
