Rainfall situation on the morning of July 3, in Lao Cai province, there was rain, moderate rain, heavy rain in some places such as: Lam Thuong: 52.8 mm, Tan Phuong: 38.8 mm (Lam Thuong); Minh Bao: 33.4 mm (Nam Cuong), Phan Thanh: 29.4 mm (Tan Linh). The remaining areas had moderate and light rain.

Soil moisture models show that some areas in Lao Cai province are nearly saturated (over 80%) or have reached saturation.
