From July 3 to 10, candidates admitted to grade 10 in Ho Chi Minh City will submit their applications directly at the high school.

The application includes: Application form for 2025 junior high school graduation and grade 10 admission score report with exam scores and 3 wishes; Junior high school transcript (original);

Provisional graduation certificates issued byeducational institutions and birth certificates are checked from the application files.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City notes that in case of failure to complete admission procedures, candidates will be considered eliminated from the admission list.

The Department of Education and Training requires high schools not to accept applications nor provide guidance on how to change 10th grade preferences. Only accept applications from candidates on the list of candidates admitted to 10th grade at their school.

The Department of Education and Training is expected to announce the results of the review on July 11.

From July 12 to 14, the Department of Education and Training will consider additional admissions for those admitted after the review.

From July 15 to no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 17, submit additional admission applications in all categories.

After 10th grade students complete their admission application, depending on the actual number of students at each school, from July 21, the Department of Education and Training will develop a second round of enrollment plan for schools that have not yet met their enrollment quotas, in accordance with the actual situation of each high school to ensure enough places for students in the area.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the 10th grade benchmark scores in 2025. Many schools have increased benchmark scores, but there are also schools with decreased benchmark scores, even significantly decreased compared to last year.

According to VietNamNet statistics, more than 70 schools in Ho Chi Minh City have reduced their 10th grade benchmark scores. Of which, Gia Dinh High School's benchmark score decreased by 4.25 points compared to last year and "flew" out of the top 10 schools with the highest benchmark scores.

Nguyen Thi Dieu High School had the deepest decrease (4.75 points) and was in the top schools with the lowest benchmark scores this year. Cu Chi High School had a 4-point decrease compared to last year; Similarly, Ngo Gia Tu High School also had a 3.5-point decrease and was in the top schools with the lowest benchmark scores this year; Dien Hong Secondary and High School had a 3.25-point decrease; Nguyen Hien High School and Tan Tuc High School also had a 3.5-point decrease.

On the contrary, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School had the highest standard score increase of 4.5 points compared to last year, becoming the school with the highest standard score this year with 24.5 points; Tran Khai Nguyen High School increased by 1.25 points. Some other schools increased by 0.25 to 0.75 points.
