According to VietNamNet 's statistics in recent years, the group of schools with the highest admission scores for grade 10 in Hanoi includes: Yen Hoa High School, Le Quy Don - Ha Dong, Kim Lien High School, Phan Dinh Phung High School, Viet Duc High School, Thang Long High School, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Nhan Chinh High School, Nguyen Gia Thieu High School, etc.
In 2025, the benchmark scores for grade 10 announced by schools will certainly be consistently lower than in previous years. Because with the new regulations for grade 10 exams this year, the admission scores for grade 10 public schools in Hanoi will no longer be doubled for the two subjects of Literature and Math, but will be calculated with the same coefficient of 1 for all three subjects.
With this method of calculating the coefficient of change, relatively on a general level, the admission score for grade 10 in Hanoi in 2025 will only be 60% of the admission score in 2024. For ease of understanding, we can temporarily imagine that according to the coefficient, the admission score in 2024 will be equal to the sum of 5 subjects, while this year it is only the total score of 3 subjects.
Last year, there were 3 schools that were both in the top 10 schools with high competition rates and in the top 10 schools with the highest admission scores in Hanoi: Yen Hoa High School, Le Quy Don - Ha Dong High School, and Nhan Chinh High School.
This year, the schools that have made it to the top with high competition rates include: Yen Hoa High School, Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong, Kim Lien High School, Nhan Chinh High School, Phan Dinh Phung High School, Cau Giay High School,...

Based on the average score of each subject and the coefficient, many teachers predict that the benchmark score for entering grade 10 in Hanoi in 2025 may increase slightly compared to last year.
In Literature, some teachers commented that the 10th grade exam completely eliminated the orientation of model essays or model paragraphs.
Ms. Duong Thuy Linh, Deputy Head of the Literature Group of MVLomonosov Secondary and High School, said that the Social Argumentation question in this year's exam covers content that is very close and practical to students' age, so it certainly does not make it difficult for students; the differentiation is shown through the comprehensiveness and feasibility of the solutions proposed by students. Therefore, Ms. Linh predicts that the average score for this year's Literature subject will be around 6.5-7.5 for students with average to good abilities, who can think, argue clearly, and have writing skills. A score above 7.5 will be difficult to achieve if students do not think well and have not carefully practiced reading comprehension of the genre.
Meanwhile, last year, commenting on the exam, teachers said that with the familiar structure and no surprises, many candidates could have scored 7-8.
In English, this year's exam is considered to have clear differentiation. Ms. Nguyen Nguyet Ngu, Head of the Foreign Language Group at Thai Thinh Secondary School, said that to do well on this exam, candidates must have a firm grasp of basic knowledge and language skills (Speaking and Writing), instead of using tricks to do the test like in previous years.
With this test, Ms. Nguyet Ngu estimated that the average score students could achieve was around 7-8.
Ms. Dinh Thi Bich Lien, Deputy Head of the Foreign Language Group of Lomonosov Secondary and High School, also shares the same opinion, saying that the questions are suitable for the trend of developing language skills, avoiding learning by rote and learning tricks.
Ms. Lien predicts that students who have a good grasp of the textbook and practice the questions in a basic way (about 50% of the candidates) will get a score of 7-8. There will be a score of 9-10 but less (about 20%) because the questions have some questions that are easy to misunderstand and some questions that are clearly classified.
While with last year's exam, many teachers said that average students could get 6.5-7 points, good students could get over 8 points. The score range was mainly around 6-7.
In Math, Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh, head of Math for the secondary school level at Phenikaa Secondary School - High School, assessed that the 10th grade Math exam this year has decreased in difficulty, not challenging students. Ms. Oanh commented that the score that many candidates can achieve is around 7 points.
Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Hue , Head of the Natural Science Group of To Vinh Dien Secondary School, said that the Math test followed the sample structure announced by the Department of Education and Training, so students with a solid grasp of basic knowledge will be able to do the test. Average students can achieve a score of 6.5-7.0 or higher.
Ms. Dinh Tuyet Trinh, Deputy Head of the Math Group of Lomonosov Secondary and High School, also commented that the exam was basic and within the students' ability.
The knowledge included in the exam is mainly from the 9th grade curriculum, so if students have basic knowledge and practice well, they can easily get 7 and 8 points. Ms. Trinh predicts that the candidates' scores will be concentrated at 7-8; there will be quite a few 9 points.
Last year, teachers predicted that the average math score of candidates would be around 6.5-7.5.
Therefore, if calculating the standard score through the average of each subject, teachers predict that the standard score for entering grade 10 in Hanoi in 2025 may increase slightly compared to last year.
As planned, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will simultaneously announce the exam scores and standard scores for grade 10 in 2025 on July 4.
