4-year-old child abused by teacher: Police examine the scene, take child for injury assessment

TPO - Regarding the incident in which a parent accused a teacher at Gia Thuy Kindergarten, Bo De Ward (Hanoi) of brutally abusing a 4-year-old child, the ward police coordinated with other forces to examine the scene, took the child for injury assessment and are currently awaiting the results.

On July 9, the People's Committee of Bo De Ward provided information regarding the abuse of children at Gia Thuy Kindergarten by teachers.

According to information provided by this ward, the unit has received feedback from parents on social networks about the case of child abuse at Gia Thuy Kindergarten.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Ward People's Committee assigned the Ward Police to urgently send officers to inspect and verify the incident according to the reported content, collect documents and data, and coordinate with medical facilities to request an appraisal to accurately determine the nature of the incident.

Gia Thuy Kindergarten is a public school in Bo De ward ( Hanoi ).

The Ward People's Committee had a working session with the Principal of Gia Thuy Kindergarten and related teachers, and requested the teachers to write reports and clarify the contents as reflected.

According to a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the unit has received information about the incident of preschool children being abused by teachers and has directed and requested the People's Committee of Bo De Ward to verify, clarify the incident and report.

The ward police sent officers to verify the incident according to the reported content, collect documents and data, and coordinate with medical facilities to request an appraisal to accurately determine the nature of the incident.

Initial verification results of the Ward Police and departments are as follows:

On the evening of July 8, the family of Ms. HKT, the child's parent, went to the ward police station to report the incident: On the afternoon of July 5, 2025, Ms. Trinh picked up Loan at Gia Thuy kindergarten. When she returned home, she saw that Loan appeared sad.

Upon examination, she discovered that her child had bruises on his back, so she took him to the National Children's Hospital for examination.

Through examination, the doctor determined that half of the back had damaged skin with scattered internal bleeding; the ears, nose and throat were slightly red; other parts: nothing special was detected.

“After receiving the report, Bo De Ward Police created a file, coordinated with PC09 Department, People's Procuracy of Region 5 to conduct a crime scene investigation, verify and clarify the incident and organize the child to be assessed for injuries. The results are awaiting the conclusion of the competent authority,” according to the report of Bo De Ward People's Committee.

The People's Committee of Bo De Ward also affirmed that it will continue to update and supplement information when there is an official conclusion from the competent authority. Based on the results of the specific investigation and verification, the People's Committee of the Ward will consider and handle the responsibilities of related individuals according to regulations.

Teachers with university degree in education

It is known that the teacher who abused the children in the kindergarten class at Gia Thuy Kindergarten is Ms. TTV, born in 1979. This school year, Ms. V. was assigned to teach class C2, taking care of the school's kindergarten children. Ms. V. has a university degree in Pedagogy, majoring in PreschoolEducation .

In addition to Ms. V, the class also has Ms. NTTH, born in 1990, a civil servant, with a university degree in education.

According to the parent's "accusation", when teacher V. beat and abused the child, teacher H. was also present in the classroom but did not stop it.

According to the parents' reflection, the child's back was bruised after being beaten by a teacher at Gia Thuy Kindergarten.

After the incident, the People's Committee of Bo De Ward requested educational institutions to continue implementing solutions to build a safe, friendly and professional educational environment, paying special attention to ensuring the safety of children at educational institutions; strengthening direction and inspection of the implementation of professional regulations, child care, nurturing and education, security and safety work at public and non-public preschools in the ward...

Direct the health station to send staff to coordinate with units and children's families to check and monitor their health status, and have solutions to support and ensure children's safety.

For Gia Thuy Kindergarten, the Ward People's Committee requested to coordinate with relevant units to verify and clarify information according to feedback from parents and students.

As reported by Tien Phong , on the evening of July 8, social networks spread information about a parent in Hanoi accusing a kindergarten teacher of brutally abusing a child.

Ms. KT shared on social media that her family has a child born in 2021, currently studying in class C2 at Gia Thuy Kindergarten, who came home from school with a large bruise on his back.

Detecting unusual signs, Ms. T's family reported to the school and took the child to the National Children's Hospital for a general health check-up.

Surprisingly, when checking the school's camera, it was discovered that the teacher had brutally abused the child, hitting and throwing him against the wall. Not stopping there, the teacher also dragged the child from the classroom to the hallway. According to the description of the parent, while abusing Ms. T's child, the child lying next to her was also abused by the teacher.

It is worth mentioning that at that time, there was still a teacher in charge of the class but there was no action to stop it.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nhung, Vice Principal of Gia Thuy Kindergarten, admitted that the incident happened at the school and has temporarily suspended the teacher involved in the incident to serve the verification and handling work. According to Ms. Nhung, the Board of Directors was also “very shocked” when the incident happened at their own school, caused by the school’s teacher.
