28% of Vietnamese adults have digital signatures

The National Electronic Authentication Center (NEAC), Ministry of Science and Technology, said that more than 18 million digital signature certificates have been issued nationwide, corresponding to 28.42% of the adult population.

Of which, the number of active digital signature certificates has increased four times compared to the same period last year. Personal certificates dominate over organizations, with a rate 4-5 times higher. It is forecasted that personal digital signatures will account for a large proportion in the coming time. Previously, according to statistics from the standing agency of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, in November 2024, Vietnam had 12.44 million personal digital signature certificates. Thus, after only seven months, nearly six million new certificates were issued.
