At the meeting with voters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa said that at the 9th session, the National Assembly passed 34 Laws and 13 Resolutions, and gave initial comments on 6 draft laws. The National Assembly delegation of Dong Thap province also participated in the discussion and contributed many opinions related to people's livelihood issues, social security policies,education , health care, etc.
Many opinions of voters were raised focusing on practical areas related to people's lives. They expressed their agreement with the results of the meeting and the policy of implementing a two-level local government model. Regarding land, voters reflected on some shortcomings in the regulations on land division, the determination of road corridors causing difficulties in housing construction, and shortcomings in handling land procedures.
In addition, voters also recommended strengthening preferential policies for people with meritorious services and families with preferential policies, and at the same time recommending strict handling of counterfeit and poor quality goods; handling of noise from spontaneous karaoke singing. Voters recommended establishing police teams directly in hamlets to ensure security and order, closer to the people and the grassroots.
On behalf of the National Assembly delegation, Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and constructiveness of voters of My Tho commune. The Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee said that the province is determined to effectively implement social security policies, especially for people with meritorious services, war invalids and martyrs. In particular, the upcoming War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27) is an opportunity for the entire political system to continue to show gratitude and provide practical care for policy beneficiaries.
The Provincial Party Secretary added that after the administrative boundary merger, the provincial staff and civil servants are making efforts to stabilize the organizational structure and serve the people better and better. The use of headquarters and equipment after the merger is being carried out scientifically and effectively, without waste.
At the end of the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong hoped that the cadres and civil servants of My Tho commune would continue to inherit the achievements, innovate their thinking, promote their capacity and responsibility to better serve the people. With the determination, creativity and consensus of the political system and the people, My Tho commune can become a typical locality in the new government model in Dong Thap.
