Ms. Truong Nguyen Thien Kim registered to sell 13.2 million VCI shares of Vietcap Securities Joint Stock Company. Ms. Kim is the wife of Mr. To Hai - General Director of Vietcap. This company is chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong as the Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD).
In addition, Ms. Thien Kim is also a member of the Board of Directors of LOF International Dairy Joint Stock Company - where Mr. To Hai is the Chairman of the Board of Directors; Independent member of the Board of Directors at Ben Thanh Trading - Service Joint Stock Company (stock code: BTT), member of the Board of Supervisors of Mien Tay Bus Station Joint Stock Company (stock code: WCS).
Mr. To Hai's wife - General Director of Vietcap - registered to sell 13.2 million VCI shares.
It is expected that after the transaction, Ms. Thien Kim will reduce her ownership ratio from 5.17% to 2.18%, no longer being a major shareholder. The transaction is expected to take place from September 4 to October 3.
Mr. To Hai currently owns more than 99.1 million VCI shares, accounting for 22.44% of capital.
Ms. Thien Kim’s move comes amid the recent upswing in VCI stock prices. Since the beginning of August, the stock has increased in value by 15%. At the close of trading on August 27, VCI shares were priced at VND48,050 per share. At the current price, Ms. Thien Kim could earn at least VND634 billion if the deal is completed.
In the first half of this year, Vietcap Securities achieved a profit after tax of nearly VND477 billion, 2.5 times higher than the same period last year. The company has also just announced the first interim dividend payment this year, at a rate of 4% in cash, expected to be paid on August 30.
