Positive information about tariffs last week helped the market move positively. On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, after the opening hours, investors were excited to participate in the market, helping the VN-Index increase points, reaching more than 1,398 points at nearly 10:00 am after increasing by 12 points. At the end of the morning trading session, the VN-Index stopped at 1,398 points, up 11 points.
In the afternoon session, the market was even more positive, especially towards the end of the session. At the close of the session, VN-Index increased by 15.09 points (1.09%), to 1,402.06 points; VN30-Index reached 1,508.66 points after "rising" by 19.89 points (1.34%).
Banking and securities stocks performed outstandingly. In the banking group, with the advantage of large stocks and most of them increasing in price, this group strongly supports the market.
In the 10 codes that contribute the most to the VN-Index, this group has 8 codes, namely CTG, BID, VPB, SHB , HDB, TCB, MBB, LPB. Of which, CTG, the 6th largest code in the market, increased in price by 3.98%, contributing the most with nearly 2.2 points; followed by BID and VPB with more than 1 point each...
The stock group also performed positively with many codes showing green.
Increasing stocks dominated. The market recorded 224 stocks increasing and 87 stocks decreasing. In the VN30 group, the number of stocks increasing was 13 times higher than the number of stocks decreasing (27 stocks and 2 stocks).
Most industry groups increased in price. In the decreasing groups, no code decreased by 0.5%.
Liquidity is high with more than VND28,000 billion changed hands. Banking and securities are the group with the best liquidity. SHB has extraordinary liquidity with nearly VND3,400 billion, leading the market. This code is strongly bought by investors, increasing to the ceiling. On the trading board, the sell side is empty while the buy side is still large.
Foreign investors bought strongly. This group bought nearly 4,000 billion VND and sold over 2,754 billion VND.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the end of the session, the total transaction value reached 2,200 billion VND. The HNX-Index stopped at 235.9 points, up 3.39 points (1.46%); the HNX30-Index increased 8.3 points (1.73%), to 487.38 points.
