On July 4, at Dragon Bridge East Coast Park, Tran Hung Dao Street, An Hai Ward, Da Nang City, the Vietnamese Family Shelter program completed its first emotional day of filming, supporting 6 children in difficult circumstances but always full of determination to rise up in life.
On the first day of filming, MC Dai Nghia was in charge of hosting the program, with the participation of guests such as: singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh, actor Ma Ran Do, actor Quoc Anh, runner-up Lona Kieu Loan. A large audience in Da Nang City was present early to watch the program and encourage the children.
Closing the first day of filming in Da Nang City, Vietnamese Family Home awarded a total of nearly 800 million VND to 6 characters. Of which, the prize from Hoa Sen Group was 204 million VND. Not only stopping at the rewards from sponsors, artists and guests also spent their own money, and together with the program crew called for donations right at the studio. The total amount of money donated by artists, benefactors and local audiences sent to the families was more than 570 million VND along with meaningful gifts such as bicycles, backpacks, etc.
In addition to the material gifts, the spiritual gifts also leave many emotions for the audience. Among them, the story of an 8-year-old girl with 3 heart surgeries was helped by the Vietnamese Family Home crew to realize her dream of organizing a birthday party. Hundreds of viewers present at the recording were the ones who directly testified and felt happy for the joy of the girl with difficult circumstances. Her simple wish was to live with her parents for a long time, which made many people cry. The girl wishes for herself because of her poor health and also wishes for her mother who was paralyzed on one side and lying at home. The father who was single-handedly supporting the whole family also cried at the love that everyone had for his family.
As the host of both episodes on the first day of filming, MC Dai Nghia could not hide his emotions many times. He shared that each family participating in the program has a unique situation, but each situation is filled with pain, suffering and cruelty. The opportunity for families to appear in the Vietnamese Family Shelter is like a new door being opened, bringing hope and a way out for unfortunate lives. Through the program, they receive sharing and love from kind-hearted people near and far, which Dai Nghia calls the "luck" that unfortunate families have when accompanying the Vietnamese Family Shelter .
"We can see the love and sharing from the community, when everyone is willing to open their hearts to help those in more difficult circumstances than themselves. I think that Vietnamese Family Home has brought profound human values to the less fortunate," MC Dai Nghia affirmed.
One of the characters that impressed MC Dai Nghia the most during this recording session was Thanh Truc, from Da Nang City. The male MC shared that he was especially impressed with Truc's maturity, understanding and admirable spirit of determination, as she was the one who proactively sought out the program Vietnamese Family Home to ask for support.
He shared: "Truc is only 13 years old but she came to the program herself, boldly talking about her family situation. At this age, most children often feel inferior and self-conscious when talking about their deprivation and difficulties. But Truc is different, even in the introductory clip, she showed such composure that it surprised me. The events she experienced have made Truc become brave, even somewhat callous. She came to 'Vietnamese Family Home' not only to receive support for herself but also to help her grandmother have less hardships. A little girl who understands things so well that it makes adults feel sorry for her.”
Dai Nghia added that he believes that at their age, no one wants to become so brave. On the contrary, everyone wishes to live up to their innocent, carefree age. However, due to difficult circumstances, they are forced to mature early, become more mature and understanding than their peers. The male MC believes that strength in adversity can become the motivation to help them grow up stronger, but unfortunately, they have to trade off a beautiful, carefree childhood that they deserve.
The program Vietnamese Family Warmth airs at 8:20 pm every Friday on HTV7. The program is produced by Bee Media Company in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Television, with the support of Hoa Sen Home Construction Materials & Interior Supermarket System (Hoa Sen Group) and Hoa Sen Plastic Pipe - Source of Happiness.
