The other day, when I had some free time, I fumbled around with my smartphone, went to the photo folder saved on the device, and saw the section for you. I kept swiping and scrolling, and saw that it was divided into very specific sub-categories, such as spring, summer, May at home, together, portraits, memorable days, anniversaries, trips... Then there were clear and specific times and locations. Just swiping through, I saw enough emotions, happy and sad memories, thoughts and vibrations, faces I had met and remembered but forgot...

After scrolling for a while, I clicked on a “Memorable Day” that appeared on the screen. The result was a video clip with music, integrating photos and videos from a business trip. I did not expect that it was a business trip associated with the final things filled with moods, with different levels of emotions in a locality under merger.

During that business trip, we contacted, met, and talked with many people, from the province to the district, down to the commune. And even people we had never met before in many different localities in the province. The stories, whether fleeting or profound, in the office or on the road, in a coffee shop or while walking,... all clearly showed thoughts and feelings. There were worries, regrets, and memories. But most of all, there was excitement, anticipation, and hope for good things to come, for each individual, for each locality, and for the country.

Try another “Memorable Day”. Another business trip, but with the same feeling that many people know in advance about the day when the name of the locality, administrative unit, job, and current residence will end. The people I met in a locality that is not in the merger, with only 2 levels of government, also share the same hustle and bustle, thoughts, expectations, and longings.

And just in my smartphone, there are so many other memorable days, so many moments, memories recorded, accidentally or intentionally. Just having time to touch, to glance through is enough to see the fragments of memories that have passed through my working life, with shared and individual memories rich in emotions, impressions, haunting, both memorable and forgettable.

That was just recently, associated with the merger of units, specific administrative boundaries and the people I had the opportunity to meet, talk, confide, and share. There are still countless trips with people I have met, with all kinds of circumstances, fates, moods, and thoughts. But I strongly believe that everyone hopes and waits for success, everyone is determined to make their beautiful dreams come true. At least for themselves, for their families...

And of course, for everyone, memories or memorable days can only be obtained when we have passed. What has happened, what has been experienced, can never come back, no matter how much you wish or desire. So, what is worth forgetting, let the memories pass by, take it as an experience, a lesson and just try to cultivate, arrange so that what is worth remembering stays, creating inspiration, motivation, will to give us faith, hope for good things to come in the future. Let the memorable stay, so that the future will not be a past worth forgetting when we pass by and look back. Let the memorable things stay, meaning that each of us always knows how to cherish the past, forget what is worth forgetting to cultivate, build up, reinforce good things, valuable, cherish, preserve...
