The resolution reaffirms the fundamental principles governing the budget for United Nations peacekeeping operations, notes the current financial constraints, and stresses the importance of allocating sufficient resources to enable the UNISFA Mission to fulfil its mandate as set out in relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions. It also calls on Member States to contribute fully to the Mission’s budget.
The resolution approved a budget of US$310 million to cover salaries, equipment, medical expenses and other expenses to ensure the operation of the UNISFA Mission from July 2025 to June 2026.

According to information from the Vietnamese Delegation to the United Nations, during the negotiation process, faced with diverse viewpoints and proposals from many countries, as a coordinating country, Vietnam made efforts to find solutions to narrow differences, promote compromise and build consensus on the content of the draft Resolution, thereby helping this important Resolution receive the support of all countries in Committee 5 and at the plenary session of the General Assembly.
Along with sending nearly 200 military and police officers to the UNISFA Mission, Vietnam’s proactive role in coordinating and promoting the budget for the Mission is of great significance, contributing to ensuring conditions for the implementation of peacekeeping missions in Abyei. This also directly supports and creates working conditions for Vietnamese “blue beret” officers in important, complex and difficult areas.
This result continues to affirm Vietnam's commitment to being an active, trustworthy and responsible member, while clearly demonstrating Vietnam's coordination, leadership and prestige capacity at United Nations forums.
