With 6 points after two wins, the Vietnamese women's team only needs a draw against Guam to qualify for the 2026 Women's Asian Cup finals.

However, coach Mai Duc Chung still showed his determination to win all 3 points by fielding the strongest lineup and letting his players enter the game proactively.

In the second minute, the Vietnamese women's team opened the scoring. Huynh Nhu made a difficult cross that made the Guam goalkeeper panic and rush out to block. The ball bounced right into Nguyen Thi Van's shot, and she easily put the ball into the empty net.

About 10 minutes later, Guam's defense continued to make a mistake when they passed the ball straight to Bich Thuy's feet in the penalty area. Vietnam's number 23 did not miss the opportunity to increase the score to 2-0.

Before the first half ended, Bich Thuy completed her double with a close-range finish, helping Vietnam lead 3-0.

Entering the second half, although still controlling the game, the Vietnamese women's team's shots were no longer accurate. However, Hai Yen managed to score the fourth goal in the 72nd minute, sealing a 4-0 victory.

Finishing the qualifying round with 3 wins and 9 absolute points, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team excellently won tickets to the final round of the Asian Cup 2026. This is an important stepping stone in the journey to reach the continental level of Vietnamese women's football.
