Youth team supporting people to carry out administrative procedures at Rach Gia Ward Public Administration Service Center
An Giang is a populous province with a large area, so supporting people to access online public services and reducing the burden on local authorities is an urgent and meaningful task. From July to the end of August 2025, An Giang Provincial Youth Union deployed a youth volunteer team to support the operation of the 2-level local government model and provide online public services at the grassroots level in 102 commune-level administrative units including 85 communes, 14 wards and 3 special zones, focusing on communes, wards and special zones with special conditions. Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Youth Union Du Pham Huu Khuyen said: “At the launching ceremony of the youth volunteer teams supporting the operation of the 2-level government model and providing online public services, the Provincial Youth Union launched 4 core teams to deploy activities to support 2-level local governments and public administrative activities at the grassroots level. Over 1,000 union members and young people participated in these teams, concentrated in remote, border and island areas of An Giang province. The Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Student Association coordinated the student volunteer force to support localities during the implementation process”. The program is expected to take place in July and August within the framework of the Summer Volunteer Campaign. The teams were formed with the coordination between the Youth Union, the police and local authorities to achieve high efficiency in supporting people and state agencies.
Rach Gia is the central ward of An Giang province, with an area of 45.52 km2 and a population of 250,661 people, the ward with the largest population density in the country. Therefore, the number of people contacting the Rach Gia Ward Public Administration Service Center to resolve administrative procedures is quite large, with about 600 records/day. The Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Secretary of the Rach Gia Ward Youth Union said: "In the coming time, the Rach Gia Ward Youth Volunteer Team will continue to enthusiastically support the people in the process of receiving records. The youth of Rach Gia Ward are determined to serve the people in the best way possible."
Along with that, the Provincial Police Youth Union deployed more than 100 union members and young people to support people, focusing on remote, border, and island areas and covering all 102 communes, wards, and special zones in the province. Lieutenant Colonel Truong Van Quoc, Head of the Provincial Police Youth Union, said: "Union members and young people support people in carrying out administrative procedures at the grassroots police station, focusing on guiding people to register procedures on the National Public Service Portal and procedures related to the fields that the police force is in charge of to create the most favorable conditions for people to carry out administrative procedures, ensuring that people are guided enthusiastically and complete procedures quickly".
Huynh Thi Thuy Loan, a student from the People's Police University, participated in summer volunteer activities in An Giang province and joined the Volunteer Team of the Provincial People's Police Youth Force to support the operation of the 2-level government model and provide online public services at grassroots, communes, wards, and special zones in An Giang province. She shared: "With the enthusiasm of youth, we actively participate in propaganda activities, disseminate knowledge about digital transformation, volunteer activities to guide people to use online public services, useful digital applications; at the same time, closely coordinate with authorities at all levels, departments, branches, and organizations in implementing digital transformation activities, contributing to bringing digital transformation closer to the people".
