Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has just announced the expected admission method applied to university level admission in 2025.
Accordingly, the school plans to increase enrollment targets for some majors compared to 2024: Traditional Medicine by 20%; Nursing by 10%; Pharmacy by 30%. The remaining majors will not increase their enrollment targets.

Regarding admission methods, in 2025, the school plans to implement 6 admission methods, including: High school graduation exam results; direct admission according to the regulations of the admission regulations; using the results of the capacity assessment test, thinking assessment organized by other units for admission; using only international certificates for admission; combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission; using other methods.
Meanwhile, in 2024, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will only implement 3 admission methods: Admission based on high school graduation exam results; direct admission; priority admission.
A new point in the 2025 admission season is that the school does not apply Foreign Language as a secondary criterion when considering equal scores as in previous years. The admission combinations based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores are kept the same by the school, including B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), B03 (Math, Biology, Literature).
Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine is a fully autonomous public university under the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. This is also the first public medical school to enroll students with a combination of Literature and Nursing and Public Health majors.
In 2024, the school will recruit 1,530 students, nationwide instead of reserving half of the quota for candidates with Ho Chi Minh City residence as before. The benchmark score based on the 2024 high school graduation exam results is from 21.35 to 26.57 points, the highest in the medical field.
The school's tuition fee for the 2024 enrollment period ranges from 41.8 to 55.2 million VND/year (10 months). Of which, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry have the highest tuition fee of 55.2 million VND/year. The remaining majors have the same tuition fee of 41.8 million VND/year (an increase of 10 million VND compared to the previous school year).
