The report stated that in the first 6 months of the year, along with the implementation of the tasks assigned in Official Dispatch No. 34/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister, the state management of tourism in Lang Son province continued to be strengthened, ensuring consistency in the development, promulgation and direction of the implementation of tourism development programs and plans of the province and localities. The work of advising, coordinating, mobilizing and concentrating resources, especially investment support capital, was implemented synchronously.

In particular, special attention is paid to inviting large enterprises to participate in investing in tourism development, in order to create a strong driving force to promote the growth of the local tourism industry. Investment in new construction and upgrading of socio -economic infrastructure, transportation systems, accommodation facilities, entertainment areas, restaurants, hotels and other tourism service facilities has contributed to effectively exploiting tourism potential, gradually forming unique and attractive tourist routes and destinations.
The work of preserving, restoring and embellishing historical and cultural relics has been carried out promptly and synchronously, well serving the needs of tourists for sightseeing, research, study and experience. Some of the province's unique tourism products have gradually affirmed their brands in the market, creating a distinct mark for Lang Son tourism. Tourist areas and destinations have focused on investing in improving the quality of products and services; tourism services are increasingly rich and diverse, meeting the increasing needs of domestic and foreign tourists.
The tourism environment is guaranteed to be safe and secure, which is an important factor that effectively supports the sustainable development of the local tourism industry. In particular, the province has strengthened international cooperation, coordinated with foreign partners in researching, surveying, and developing tourism products with the characteristics of the Geopark area, contributing to enhancing the position and image of Lang Son tourism on the national and international tourism map.
In the first half of 2025, the total number of visitors was more than 3 million, an increase of 4.7% over the same period in 2024, reaching 70.7% of the 2025 plan. Of which, international visitors reached 131,000, an increase of 67.9% over the same period in 2024, reaching 43.7% of the 2025 plan. Domestic visitors reached 2,979,000, an increase of 3% over the same period in 2024, reaching 85.1% of the 2025 plan. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 2,931 billion, an increase of 12.6% over the same period in 2024, reaching 65.1% of the 2025 plan.
The tourist accommodation establishments have inspected the business conditions of tourist accommodation services for 11 establishments; assessed and issued a Decision to recognize 01 establishment meeting health care standards for tourists. The total number of tourist accommodation establishments in the province is currently 303 establishments with 4,175 rooms, of which 420 rooms meet 3-5 star standards.
According to statistics, up to now, the whole province has about 8,500 tourism workers, of which 4,200 are direct workers. In the first 6 months of the year, 42 applications for tour guide cards were received and processed (19 on-site tour guide cards, 21 international tour guide cards, 02 domestic tour guide cards).
Lang Son province currently has 54 provincial-level tourist attractions. Currently, the dossier and procedures are being completed to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for recognition of the tourist attractions of Hang Coc Muoi - Pac Lung, Ky Lang (Tri Phuong Commune, Trang Dinh District).
