Dozens of security officers and vehicles were mobilized to the beach area to persuade people to stop trading and processing seafood right on the beach. When the authorities appeared, many people automatically cleaned up and left the area. Some cases of non-compliance had their tables, chairs, and signs confiscated.

Thuy Tien Beach has long attracted tourists thanks to its wild, airy and quiet beauty. However, over the past month, during the peak summer tourist season, hundreds of households have gathered at Thuy Tien Beach to sell shrimp, fish, squid, crabs, etc. right at the water’s edge, and have them processed on the spot.
Spontaneous seafood trading makes the beach messy, always reeking of seafood. In the process of processing shrimp and fish, traders even discharge waste directly into the sea; plastic bags, styrofoam boxes, etc. are thrown everywhere.

According to Vung Tau Urban Construction and Environmental Services Joint Stock Company, the amount of waste in this area has increased 5-6 times compared to before, causing great pressure on collection work. The unit must increase human resources and equipment for handling.

According to Rach Dua Ward Party Secretary Nguyen Phuc Hoang, the ward immediately requires people to stop trading and processing seafood that causes pollution and disorder on the beach. At the same time, maintain regular inspection forces to prevent violations. The ward is arranging a separate area for people to trade seafood in a civilized and sustainable manner.
