Attending the Congress were comrade Vo Thanh Nam, Deputy Head of the Government Party Committee's Organizing Committee, and comrades in Steering Group No. 6 of the Government Party Committee.
On the side of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, there were Central Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan; Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang; Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long and members of the Standing Committee, members of the Executive Committee... together with 250 official delegates representing Party members of Party cells and affiliated Party Committees.
At the first session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, the Delegate Qualifications Review Board; approved the working program and regulations... At the same time, the Congress listened to the draft report summarizing comments on the draft political document to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party; the draft report summarizing comments on the draft political document to be submitted to the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
The Congress is conducted according to the principles of democratic centralism, equality, and directness; decisions of the Congress must be approved by more than half of the Party members of the Congress; executive decisions under the authority of the Presidium must be approved by more than half of the members.
To ensure the completion of all the contents of the Congress, on behalf of the Presidium, Central Party Committee member, Party Secretary, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien requested the delegates to focus on performing well a number of tasks.
Firstly, promote the spirit of serious and effective work of today's preparatory session. Thoroughly understand and strictly implement the working regulations of the Congress, the guidance of the Organizing Committee and the direction of the Presidium to fully, actively and responsibly participate in the contents and programs of the Congress approved at the first session to contribute to the success of the Congress.
Second, uphold the sense of responsibility, intelligence, enthusiasm, proactively focus on studying documents, discussing, objectively and comprehensively evaluating the achieved results, limitations, weaknesses and causes, drawing valuable lessons in the leadership and direction of the Party Committee in the past term. Thoroughly and fully grasp the policies and guidelines of the Party and State and identify favorable opportunities as well as intertwined difficulties and challenges, and requirements for innovation for the development of the country and the industry to continue to propose and contribute ideas to perfect the directions, goals, tasks and main solutions of the Party Committee in the coming term.
At the same time, actively discuss and contribute ideas to draft documents submitted to the Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the 14th National Party Congress as prescribed.
Third, we request the subcommittees organizing the Congress to continue to uphold their sense of responsibility and perform well the assigned tasks, especially the reception work, welcoming guests, carefully preparing Congress documents and ensuring security, logistics, technology, information and health care to carefully and thoroughly prepare the conditions and ensure the success of the Congress.
The first Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the 2025-2030 term is an important political event, marking a new step in Party building and strengthening the Party's comprehensive leadership role in implementing political and professional tasks of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the entire industry in general.
Taking place at a time when the country has many important events, on the basis of important achievements after 40 years of renovation and the historic renovation policies that our Party, State and People are implementing, the first Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the 2025-2030 term has created new confidence and momentum, determined to bring the country to develop rapidly and sustainably in the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
With the motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the 2025-2030 term has the task of summarizing, objectively and comprehensively evaluating the results of leadership, direction and implementation of the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the 2020-2025 term; drawing lessons and deciding on directions, goals, tasks and breakthrough solutions to lead and direct the Industry and Trade sector to continue to successfully carry out tasks in the coming term.
