According to information from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism , Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong recently met with director Rahul Bali - CEO of Innovations India Company (India), the main producer of the Vietnam - India film cooperation project called "Love in Vietnam".
In the context of Vietnam promoting its tourism campaign in India, the cooperation in promoting the film "Love in Vietnam" is an opportunity to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam to Indian friends through cinema.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong highly appreciated the specific cooperation ideas from India, agreed to coordinate in organizing the launch of the film "Love in Vietnam", expand the scale of the "Hello Vietnam" (Namaste Vietnam Festival), invite Indian filmmakers, artists, businesses, and wedding planning companies... to participate. Vietnamese tourism leaders welcomed Bollywood filmmakers to continue choosing Vietnam as a filming location and to release films to the world . The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism committed to supporting preferential policies, creating favorable conditions for licensing procedures and effective coordination between relevant authorities and localities.
"Vietnam possesses beautiful natural landscapes with tropical forests, long coastlines, white sand, golden sunshine, friendly and hospitable people, and a unique culture and history. In addition, infrastructure and means of transport have been invested in and developed, human resources are abundant, and expertise is increasingly high. Vietnam has full potential and resources to develop and become a destination for international cinema. In recent years, many international directors have come and made films in Vietnam, using Vietnam as the setting for their film projects. We hope that Vietnam's film tourism potential will be more widely known and exploited as much as possible. I believe India will be able to do this and develop film tourism in the future" - Deputy Minister Ho An Phong emphasized.
The film revolves around a beautiful love story between an Indian boy and a Vietnamese girl played by actress Kha Ngan.
Director Rahul Bali shared that after filming his first film in Vietnam, his film crew was extremely impressed and fell in love with the beautiful natural landscapes as well as the people here. With many years of experience in selecting films for the "Namaste Vietnam" festival and world film festivals, director Rahul Bali had the opportunity to introduce to international friends the beautiful landscapes of Vietnam and contribute to promoting tourism in the country. After "Love in Vietnam", the film crew has prepared the next project called "Silaa", expected to start production in August with many scenes filmed in famous caves and landmarks of Vietnam.
Director Rahul Bali expressed his desire to continue cooperating with Vietnamese partners in the film industry, considering Vietnam a potential production destination for Bollywood.
The project "Love in Vietnam" has a budget of 4 million USD, starting filming in September 2024 in the Central and Southern regions of Vietnam. The project was announced at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, screened at the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF 2025) and is expected to premiere in both Vietnam and India this summer. The film brings together actors from the two countries' film industries.
Director Rahul Bali said that the enthusiastic support of Vietnamese authorities and companies and businesses during the production process has created favorable conditions for the film crew to complete the filming. The film is currently in the post-production stage. It is expected that "Love in Vietnam" will be released in more than 1,000 cinemas in India, reaching about 8 million viewers.
