Exhibition "Da Nang - Echoes of the past" introduces more than 200 unique antiques

On July 4, Da Nang Museum announced that from July 11 to September 12, the thematic exhibition "Da Nang - Echoes of the past" will officially open to the public.

The exhibition aims to promote the socialization of cultural heritage conservation, while promoting the precious values ​​of antiques being preserved not only in Da Nang but also in many provinces and cities across the country.

The event is organized by the Da Nang Museum in coordination with organizations, antiques associations and private collections in the three regions of the North, Central and South.

From July 11 to September 12, the thematic exhibition "Da Nang - Echoes of the past" will take place at Da Nang Museum.

For the first time in Da Nang, the exhibition gathered the participation of 12 typical collectors, from antique associations such as Thang Long Antiques Association (Hanoi), Eastern Antiques Association ( Hai Duong ), Pho Hien Antiques Club (Hung Yen), Ho Chi Minh City Antiques Association and private collectors in the city.

The exhibition introduces more than 200 rare antiques of various types and materials, dating from the 15th century to the Nguyen Dynasty.

Typical collections include: gilded wooden furniture and mother-of-pearl inlays from the Nguyen Dynasty; Chu Dau pottery from the 15th-16th centuries; ceramics from the Le-Trinh Dynasty to the Nguyen Dynasty (17th-20th centuries); enameled bronzeware; royal costumes and gold-thread embroidery from the Nguyen Dynasty; Chinese pottery from the 18th-19th centuries.

The event not only gives the public the opportunity to admire the exquisite beauty of antiques, but also recreates the development process of Vietnamese material and spiritual life over the centuries.

The exhibition is also associated with a series of activities in response to the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Tourism Industry (July 9, 1960 - July 9, 2025).

During the opening ceremony, the Da Nang Museum will receive 79 antiques donated by 14 private collectors, including many valuable artifacts such as Ly-Tran pottery, Chu Dau pottery, Nguyen-style porcelain, enamel, worship objects and daily necessities of ancient Vietnamese people.

The exhibition “Da Nang - Echoes of the past” is not only a journey back to the past but also conveys a message about the shared responsibility to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage in the community.

This is also an opportunity to honor the efforts and passion for collecting and preserving antiques of organizations and individuals, contributing to enriching the national cultural heritage.
