
TH-A1 coffee variety was researched, developed and successfully tested by the Western Highlands Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute (WASI) in Arabica coffee growing areas of Vietnam with very positive results, ensuring both yield and flavor quality.
TH-A1 coffee trees are strong, easy to grow, well adapted to local climate and soil, have firm seeds, yield equivalent to or higher than existing varieties and have a higher market price than old varieties grown locally.
This is a coffee variety that many farmers in the area choose to cultivate and is highly appreciated for its quality and productivity. In particular, when La Viet Coffee Company Limited introduced and promoted it at major coffee events around the world such as the SCAJ 2023 Japanese Coffee Exhibition in Tokyo or the SCA World Specialty Coffee Exhibition in Portland, USA in 2024, TH - A1 is considered a coffee with a unique and interesting flavor with a characteristic herbal aroma, the taste of tropical fruits, a pleasant sweet aftertaste, which can represent the quality of Vietnamese Arabica coffee in the international market.
Planting and replanting coffee areas with TH-A1 variety will contribute to gradually improving the quality of Vietnamese coffee; at the same time, creating more value for coffee beans, bringing higher economic benefits to growers.
