Tottenham reach agreement to sign Kudus
Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham for £55 million ($70 million), according to British media. The Ghanaian star has agreed personal terms and is expected to sign a six-year contract.
Spurs had previously had a £50 million offer rejected, but despite Kudus having a release clause of £85 million ($108.6 million), West Ham eventually accepted the lower offer.
Joining from Ajax in the summer of 2023, Kudus quickly shone with 19 goals and 13 assists after 80 appearances for the "Hammers".
Man United put Tchouameni in their sights
Transfer journalist Eduardo Inda revealed that Manchester United are paying special attention to Aurélien Tchouameni, Real Madrid's central midfielder. The "Red Devils" are willing to spend up to 78 million pounds ($99.7 million) to convince Real to let him go.
However, the possibility of success is quite low, because coach Xabi Alonso considers the French player an irreplaceable pillar in the new strategy.
Arsenal may miss out on Gyokeres due to hesitation
The deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres is at an impasse as Arsenal have only agreed to pay £56 million ($71.5 million), plus an additional £13 million ($16.6 million) in performance-based fees.
Meanwhile, Sporting Lisbon are adamant about paying £60 million up front (about $76.6 million). Although only £4 million (5 million USD) more, Arsenal's indecision could cost them their top target.
Many Gunners fans are reminded of the Luis Suárez deal in 2013, when Arsenal made a “laughable” offer of £40 million and 1 – and Liverpool flatly rejected it.
Betis have not given up on Antony
Brazilian striker Antony is no longer in MU's plans. Although the "Red Devils" want to sell him outright for a fee of 35 million pounds (44.7 million USD), no club has yet met the demand.
Real Betis are the most eager, and are considering a loan option with an option to buy at the end of the season. Antony is said to be willing to take a 30% pay cut, from £150,000/week ($191,000) to £95,000/week ($121,000) to continue playing in La Liga.
During his loan spell at Betis at the end of last season, Antony impressed with 14 goals in 26 games, contributing greatly to helping the team reach the UEFA Conference League final.
Sunderland is willing to welcome quality new recruits
Sunderland are set to complete the signing of Simon Adingra from Brighton for a fee of around £20.6 million ($26.3 million), according to Sky Sports. The Ivory Coast international will become the Premier League newcomers' sixth signing this summer.
Sunderland has recruited a series of quality new players in the summer transfer window of 2025, including: Enzo Le Fée (from AS Roma, price 19.3 million pounds - 24.6 million USD), Habib Diarra (from Strasbourg, 30 million pounds - 38.3 million USD), Noah Sadiki (from Union SG, 15 million pounds - 19.1 million USD) and Chemsdine Talbi (from Club Brugge, 19.5 million pounds - 24.8 million USD).
Jordan Henderson leaves Ajax, preparing to reunite with Sunderland?
Veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson will not renew his contract with Ajax, when his current deal expires in the summer of 2025. Many sources believe that Henderson wants to return to England to increase his chances of being selected for the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Sunderland, where Henderson grew up and played before joining Liverpool, is considered a potential destination for the 35-year-old midfielder.
Napoli return to negotiating table for Garnacho
According to the Mirror (UK), Napoli Club is resuming negotiations with Manchester United to recruit Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho, currently 21 years old.
The reigning Serie A champions hope to convince the Red Devils to release him for a transfer fee of around £45 million, equivalent to $58 million.
Garnacho is considered one of MU's most promising young talents, with a fast, technical and unpredictable playing style.
In the 2024–2025 season, the player has been a regular in both the Premier League and Champions League, contributing greatly to the team's attacking system under coach Erik ten Hag.
However, Garnacho's future at Old Trafford is still uncertain as MU needs to restructure the squad to meet Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
Currently, MU has not given any official response to the offer from Napoli. If the deal is successful, this will be one of the biggest contracts in the 2025 summer transfer window between English and Italian clubs.
Man United accelerate recruitment of Bryan Mbeumo
In another development, according to Sky Sports' transfer news expert, Man United is trying to speed up the negotiation process to recruit winger Bryan Mbeumo (25 years old) from Brentford Club, with the goal of completing the deal before the team departs for the US pre-season tour.
Brentford are believed to have rejected two previous bids from United – £55m and £62.5m respectively – but the Manchester club are ready to raise their asking price to £65m, or around $83m, to seal the deal this week.
Mbeumo has been a mainstay in Brentford's attack for the past three seasons. With his pace, versatility and consistent goalscoring ability, he scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in the Premier League last season, despite a lengthy injury lay-off.
The Cameroon international is also a key part of United's long-term plans as they look to replace Jadon Sancho, who is expected to leave this summer.
