On the afternoon of July 10, officers and soldiers of Da Lat island promptly rescued fishermen on a fishing boat in Dak Lak province that ran aground.

Accordingly, on the afternoon of July 10, the island's observation force discovered that fishing boat PY 92628 TS, owned and captained by Mr. Huynh Van Nhiem (residing in Phu Yen ward, Dak Lak province), ran aground at a location about 1.3 nautical miles from the island.

Immediately after the discovery, the island commander deployed forces, notified and coordinated with Survey Ship 883 to monitor the situation and immediately deployed a rescue plan. At 3:05 p.m., the motorboat of Survey Ship 883 approached the scene and brought all 5 fishermen to the island safely. The island's military medical staff quickly examined and determined that the fishermen were in stable health and had no injuries.

Through verification, the ship PY 92628TS anchored at the island from 12:00 on July 9, and at about 13:30 on July 10, it broke its anchor, drifted and ran aground. Because the ship's hull was punctured and could no longer be salvaged, the island mobilized support forces to transfer all materials from the wrecked ship to the ship PY 92205TS to bring the fishermen back to the mainland. Along with that, the island provided food, provisions and some other personal items.

In the evening of the same day, the island coordinated with the motorboat of Surveying Ship 883 to take the fishermen to the ship PY 92205TS. The handover was completed in absolute safety.
