The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security ; many leaders of the Party and State; leaders of ministries, departments, branches of the Central and local levels; representatives of police leaders of units and localities; leaders of the Vietnam Olympic Committee; Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association; Vietnam Football Federation; Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company and representatives of leaders of units and enterprises accompanying the tournament. In addition, there was the presence of more than 20 ambassadors and representatives of embassies and diplomatic missions in Vietnam.
The event was held solemnly. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang presented flowers to the heads of delegations.

Art Festival – where ASEAN spirit flourishes
The opening ceremony of the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament was elaborately and grandly staged, harmoniously combining traditional and modern music, imbued with the cultural identity of ASEAN countries, transcending all cultural and linguistic boundaries, expressing the aspirations, solidarity and noble ideals of the generation of police officers in the new era.

Through each performance, the program conveys the message of peace, cooperation and friendship between the police forces - those who are day and night carrying out their responsibilities for the community, for peace, security, safety, stability and prosperity in the region and the world. With the investment in the most modern technology: laser mapping, mobile stage, 360-degree lighting effects, projection technology, the opening ceremony is of international standards like the World Cup or Asian Cup.

The parade of the football teams made a strong impression thanks to modern laser mapping technology. In the air, drones carried LED flags with images of national flags of countries along with the ASEAN flag flying high, creating a splendid space, filled with colors symbolizing the spirit of regional harmony, solidarity and mutual respect.
The special drum performance, combined with lion, unicorn and dragon dances imbued with Vietnamese culture with the theme "Aspiration to shine" was performed by nearly 600 students of the People's Police Academy - Ministry of Public Security. On the mashup background, the combination of artists Dong Hung, Vo Ha Tram, Oplus and international artists from 6 friendly countries, performed in many languages but with the same aspiration for a Southeast Asia united for peace.
Future generations and inspiring continuity
At the end of the program, the children from SHB FC Academy Youth Football Training Center sang together on stage, symbolizing the future, the next generation of faith in sports and humanistic values. With nearly 500 actors and graceful performances on the field, the stage was elevated to a picture of high-level performance art and noble, vibrant, dedicated, united sportsmanship, contributing to the overall success of the Tournament.
In the hands of hundreds of actors, the synchronized LED system lit up in rhythm, symbolizing the future, technology, and a constantly changing Southeast Asia. At the climax, the official championship trophy, the symbol of the tournament, appeared impressively.
Through multilingual performing arts and music, combined with large-scale investment and unlimited creativity of the Vietnamese people, the opening ceremony of the 2025 ASEAN Public Security Football Tournament was held with great success, commensurate with the scale and special significance of the event.

The 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament will take place from July 7 to July 15, as part of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Security Day. This year's tournament is hosted by the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Department of Political Work (X03), the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association, the Vietnam Sports Department, and the Vietnam Football Federation. T&T Group and SHB Bank accompany and sponsor the tournament.
